Nice to see a few folk give this a thanks.
Pen had already booked a night with her yoga pals and I had a few in my local.
When we got home, I asked her to just sit here on the patio and talk to me. About anything. She asked some personal stuff about me and Joanne and I answered VERY openly.
Penny lets me still love Joanne. That's why I love Penny so much.

Penny is clearly a lovely and understanding person, and you treasure her for this. Enjoy your retirement.

Re: A right now thread
I can understand that one. I sold my bike, as a non-runner, to my next door neighbour. A few weeks later, I was outside, heard a roaring noise (ok, maybe a slight exaggeration), looked around to see a cloud of smoke issuing - and, luckily, clearing - from his garage.the_priest wrote: ↑Wed Aug 26, 2020 7:06 pm Watched the Honda being ridden away. A few more weeks later, I recognised the sound in the road outside, as the bike rattled and droned its way past on a test ride.
Pleased it's back on the road. But jealous and sad that I can't ride it.

To be honest, more like Wagners "Ride of the Valkyries" being a BMW... but I like the sentiment of David's Triumph being heard throughout the land. Re: A right now thread
Just finished cobbling together a thermostatic fan speed controller for my Mac Mini.
Those Molex connectors are microscopic, sadly the controller is not so I had to 3d print a hack base cover with a bit more height.
It will end up being a digital video server for my upcoming YouTube channel.

Re: A right now thread
This morning I woke up not in agony first time on a week. I had an injection in my back yesterday.
So today I got into gear and had a very productive day.
Rewarding myself now with a cold beer on the patio. It's still 28c so rude not to really

I'm not sure if I'd miss 'seasons' and stuff, but sitting with a beer sounds nice of an evening. Whether I could do your lifestyle and in particular high temps all day every day, I dunno.
I wouldn't mind trying a year though to see.

It's around 30c most days in summer. We get used to it and really pleasant. Always a breeze so no problems. Warm evenings are ace. Drops to 24c overnight so no sleep problems.
Winter can guarantee 20 every day.
Rarely too hot. Never too cold.

We've been over several times, usually on the south west by the lighthouse. Also once by the marina.Yorick wrote: ↑Wed Sep 09, 2020 8:50 pmIt's around 30c most days in summer. Double espresso after surviving the madness of the school run... has to be car as wife and daughter, different destinations, so have to double back and do final trip then come back on A2 to Welling as Shooters Hill is heavily congested... tomorrow they take bus/train etc as I am taking bike for diagnostics and service! Yay! Heading out of London into leafy green Kent.

This lighthouse?! Should have been there this weekend but not going whilst I have quarantine on the way back. Our friends are there house hunting and won't be coming back - they've already arranged all the stuff they need to do. We'll be back out there again soon, surfboard and bike in the luggage as usual, so that we can leave it in "our" new garage and begin our own house hunt.
