Would that not make the outcome a lot worse? I can't imagine the Old Bill willingly posing for pics to be posted on a forum...

Years ago when my car was being pulled apart by over-zealous Customs officers convinced I was a drug-runner, my then gf got her camera out to take pics and was told in no uncertain terms that if she continued the film would be removed from the camera, exposed and then handed back to her. (It was pre-digital, obvs...)

Nice little ride today so thought it was time I joined this thread.

I started from NW London, rode up to Shepshed to meet my trainee (M1 for once flowing freely), then an interesting mixed traffic route with a bit of everything - short stretch of M1, fast dual carriageways, Derby city centre, the nice flowing bends of the A6 through Matlock, then Monsall Head for an ice cream (photo). I'd planned to ride down the vale itself which is a nice road but it was 'access only' but we carried on past Ladybower then finally up the Strines road which is a favourite of mine.

We finished up with a top pork pie at the Bank View cafe at Langsett, where we parted company, Kevin to head back to Manchester (via a scenic route) and me to head home again down the M1.

just one hold up near Dunstable, two lanes closed to recover a car that appeared to have T-boned the V where the armco splits at Junction 11. Good job, there were only five lanes to choose from!

10 hours including around 5 hours on the course. 360 miles total. Not a bad day at all 🙂

I managed to get a rubbish bin in my panoramic shot though!

Only saw one police car - filtered past it in slow traffic, then was just slightly worried when the same car rolled into the petrol station half a mile up the road where I was filling up... but the driver walked in just as I was leaving after paying the obligatory arm and leg for the fuel, and gave me a nice smile :) she was very cute

I'll leave it to the other competitors as to whether the rubbish bin counts as 'filth'.

You should have asked the young lady for a selfie with your bike in the background. :D

This is the current challenge I think. It seems like a very difficult one to get. Can we maybe make it EG any emergency service vehicle but the photo must include at least one personel ?

IF that moves things on i'm good... as long as the winner picks something cool :)

It's a riding thing as much as it's a challenge thing.

Ok then,we'll risk the wrath of Jody and pick a new topic.

Your bike in the shot of a pub with a plant name. ie The Oak,etc.

Next - your bike next to a car the same colour as it.

What if your bike is several colours?

Some sort of thematic match, I suppose. There's usually a main theme colour. Your bike for example I'd suggest was green rather than black, even though it's both.

Must be your monitor. The bike is definitely red, the car was less so.

This is pink
