Hello From Essex, Soon Spain

Post by Whysub »

Moved over from the other place from the other place

Currently in the UK waiting for the Euro borders to be opened so I can get to.my new gaff in South East Spain

Sold all my bikes bar the Guzzi (which wont ever be for sale) and my Ducati 900SS. Seems that with all the job and pay uncertainty, it's a shit time to sell a bike.

I'm in Spain now, been at my new place in Crevillente (25 minutes east of Alicante Airport) for just over two weeks now.

Due to Covid the house has been empty for 6 months. I cannot believe how overgrown the garden (5200 square metres) has become, 99% of the the overgrown is brambles. Thick, heavily barbed brambles. Winning the battle for cutting them down, and pruning a number of trees, but hauling away the cuttings isn't so easy when all I have here is a car to cart them away in.

I purchased a Street Triple off of a mate down near Mojaca last year, but our inability to.both be here at the same time got bolloxed by Covid. So arrangements have been made with his neighbour for me to collect it, and the keys, and documents. I will rent a van and collect it one evening next week, then drop it off for an ITV (Spanish MOT) the following morning before dropping the hire van back

At least this will get me away from the bloody garden for a few hours!

These are huge-I am having to saw the things down.

The flame thrower comes in handy for the wasp nests I keep finding. No one told me Spain is where wasps go for the summer!

We don't have any wasps. Or anything nasty or bitey.

Mozzies need pools to breed. We have no rain. Only the posh folk near golf clubs have mozzies coz the grass is watered.
