44 Teeth - Boothy
I'd guessed things were bad for him following his TT crash due to the lack of updates but seems the poor bugger has lost his leg I know some on here didn't gel with him but I like him and he makes me laugh esp in the endurance 125 races and the budget bike battle.

I have no opinion about 44 teeth, but losing a leg is shit, hope he manages to make the best of it.

Man,that's a tough life change. I hope he rises above it to do what he enjoys.

Hate that channel, but wish him all the best for the future and a rapid recovery.
My mate Bob lost his left arm and leg in a road accident, but still rides. Must be tough to overcome the mental trauma as well as the physical.

Re: 44 Teeth - Boothy
I mentioned to one of my ex TT racer mates that the only update I'd read said that he had been flown to Aintree & it wasn't straightforward. Knowing how the TT press reports go we both felt that this wasn't going to turn out well...
People often bang on about the fatality rate going at race pace around that place but they seem to forget about the massive list of racers maimed over there. One year we lost a mutual friend at the TT,then a few weeks later an acquaintance got killed on the opening night practice for the Manx & his mate came off in the same session & lost his leg. It's spectacular to watch but you've got to be questioning your life choices when lining up to go down Bray Hill at race pace. It's over a decade since my mate last raced there, now, older & wiser he agrees.
Healing vibes & good luck with his future plans to Boothy

Re: 44 Teeth - Boothy
Quite a fan of Boothy and knew of him when he was racing as a yoof with Bemsee when i was a marshal. He cracked me up then and does now with his content on 44 teeth. i thought he was a brilliant addition to the channel and always watched his stuff as he was brutally honest about his own abilities and weaknesses when he was trying new stuff. I was chuffed to bits for him when he got in the top ten at the North West this year and gutted when i heard about his accident at the TT as it really didnt sound good at the time.
I hope he manages to overcome what is going to be a long hard road for him and finds a happy place again and maintains his sense of humour

Ohh shit. Like many others I heard he'd crashed but I had no idea it was that serious.

Re: 44 Teeth - Boothy
Talking to my mate this afternoon about his tt trip. The two sidecar accidents at agos were a little further up the road where they hit the brakes. Road had been resurfaced since last time and reckons if you were slightly of line it was an issue. Bloody big issue for those lads.

Re: 44 Teeth - Boothy
I think 44 Teeth have handled this really sensitively and well in what's clearly a difficult time. The TT blogs have helped with the funding too as when Al did the last one they were at 43k, they are now at 70k. Cracking effort.
Really wish Boothy well he's a very likeable chap

Re: 44 Teeth - Boothy
I agree they have been very careful in what they have put out into the public realm in what has been a shit time for Boothy and all around him. I hope the funding helps him out on his recovery and i lobbed a few quid into the fund once i knew it was a genuine one from the 44 teeth lot as there was a fake one set up (what kind of wanker does that)Supermofo wrote: ↑Wed Jul 20, 2022 11:33 pm
