It's been a while.

Post by Bobble »

As the title says, it's been a while but it's looking increasing likely that I'm going to be back on 2 wheels in the not too distant future after a 12 year layoff.

too old and fat for a full on sports bike so looking at something along the lines of a Yam MT-07. (any other suggestions welcome!)

so how have you all been?

MT-07's are yesterdays news, both Pietin and Weeksy have got rid of theirs.

What you want is a nice KTM :)

Welcome back big man. :)

MT07 i think you'll find a bit small physically. It wouldn't be my choice for you i think. They're excellent bikes i admit, but i think maybe the MT09 would suit more.

What you want is a nice Suzuki GSX S750 or 1000. Comfy, handle well and plenty fast enough whilst being pretty damn good value for money. My 1000 was £1k more than a new MT-07 and much much more bike.

Same vein MT-09 as mentioned or Kwak Z9 in modern or retro RS flavour.

Absolutely, the GSXS is proper comfy I'd have never managed as long as I did on the R. And I def don't need the extra 50 Gee Gees cos I is a gurls blouse. The S is more than batshit mental enough for me.

Weeksy's was a hoot, I'd defo recommend a test on one. It was my first choice bike before I rode the GSX S, but the Yam is far better looking.

I prefer the looks of the GSX-S, and I think it's got a face only the owner could love.

Dunno, but I am these days, I weigh 40% more than I did when I was racing, it's why I need a 750 to haul my fat arse around.
