Hi, I should add that the books were based on a talk I used to give in Lancashiure in the eihties and now give an updayted version as wellSofar, in thelast 3-4years I'#ve gven it both locally tovarious groupsbut also further afield such as to a big group in Lancashire where I used to work. Th atwent down well seeng old riends/clirents from 30+ years ago! But I gave itto Headway the Charity for Survivors of JHea Injuries based in Wanstead in London to an audience of a fe hundred or so. /I haven't charged for sany of these just ding it for the [pleasure and ejoying thelaughter at my own misfortiunes!! It takes about 50-60 minutes depending on Qs and As afterwwards and would be more than happy to give it to any |Groups from here should you be interested? I can absolutely and categorically guarantee a lot of laughter! :D
If you wish to hear how a well-trained/well-educated prfessional and that is me I promise, has been attacked, chased, fallen over, been embarraassed and confised by his animal patients? please ! The please just let me know? Thanks in anticipation! Chgeers Hawker...!

After what he went through, occasional memory lapses are fairly minor.

Plug for his two vet books BTW, very good reads. And if you ask nicely, he'll sign them too.
Thanks again OHrse,

You understatemy problem i fact. Occasional lapses are the lest ofit! My long-term memory is still excellent but it is shot-term that has been wrecked which is very frutrating. A good example, embarrassing toadmit this publicly herewhen people might not befully aware of y injuries is that I struggle to recall how to edit my frequent typing errors in my pots I'm araid. For Skub's real name I wotrked out how to dothat very xquickly and should hsave noted it doewwn but cannot now amend other mistypingsI'mg afraid. For those who might be interested in the gory details,Do we we have any medical bikers/posters on this site? ; my injuries were these: My Hospital Records with details from fellow racers were the following hitting the deck/atall farm kerbstone at 30-35mph; a Basal Skull fracture! And when peole are executed by hanging this is hat they sustain so not a trivial injury at all!! Pus Multiple Brain harmorrhages, a subdural haematoma = a very large bleed and "blood-blister on the brain's surface, five broken ribs and a Punctued lung, plus the least of my problems was a abroken collarbone! So when being thumped by the male nurse thinking I was trying to climb out of bed that was not very welcome!! Whilst lazing in for the 3-4 months I developed spinal osteoporosis discovered when I suffered acompression fracture in my spine sometime in 2014 as two vertebrae collapsed into each other. Also I toppled over due to balance problemsi n 2015 i thin this was and broke my left forearm thsat now has a metal plate inside. Inside my skull is a Programmed sunt to drain the excess fid left after al the bleeding which is what needs fixing now. Losing full use of my left side is hat allowed me to be classed as a Para-cyclist , later getting top tens in the National Time Trial Champs in 2018/ 2019 and 2021 , plus in 2021 the top spot of the National TT-Series!! I was speaking the rruth when I told Gerry tThat "I do not give up easily!!"
Thank you for your interest...!Now where was that dit button?/

Don't you worry about typos! It all makes sense. Glad you're still with us and typing at all after that lot!

It makes more sense and is far more interesting - and worthy of recognition - than some of the @#*$#@ that gets posted here ;)
