Another 2 deaths in Sidecars today, in the past week I've now actually stopped recording it and watching it. It's a brutal sport for sure.

It's an epic and amazing side of our sport, but it's a harsh mistress

It's not been a good year. Reckon we've seen the last of some of the seniors at the TT.

Father and son. On his first TT with his dad, only age 21. Agos again. Very very sad. RIP.

Since 1937,there has only been one year when there were no fatalities when races were held. 1982.

In 2005 11 people died.

It is harsh but as is always said they know the risk and what can happen, but they still want to compete. They love it.

Just finished reading it too, very sad.

Hopefully the Senior goes ahead tomorrow, can’t see anyone beating Hicky, that’ll be 4 for him.

Boys are by their nature a bunch of fucking idiots. Motorbikes make them bigger idiots. They push themselves the limits, the boundaries. Of course they know, but they also have a "won't happen to me" mindset too in them. That's what makes them epic competitors.

I'm very very torn.

I’m not convinced with the “won’t happen to me”………I think they are of the mindset that it could happen but they just don’t think about it or don’t allow it to enter their minds for too long.

I tend to find that when you’re on the bike you don’t think about it, you concentrate on the job in hand. You try to be as fast as possible but as safe as possible too, the margin for errors is so small now but for me I love road riding, my end goal after obtaining my national was to do road racing and as much as I love short circuit riding and racing the buzz I get from road riding keeps me at it.

I get it, I know some won’t but at the end of the day it’s their own lives and I say let them crack on.

As I've said, that was my goal too but I wasn't a good enough racer to get there. I had 10% of their talent and 50% of their desire, it wasn't enough.
So yeah I think I get it, I broke many bones racing and my first port of call was where the wreck was stored to see how quickly I could get back.

I agree with you on this one, look at Mickey D, Dad and Brother, and his uncle, all killed on the roads, but he still goes out and races like a complete animal. He's more aware than just about anyone how easy it is to meet your maker on the roads.

They're definitely a special breed, I know plenty of very good racers who refused point blank to go road racing.

All finished now and the £14.99 was money well spent for me. Enjoyed the coverage and Davy Johnson was an
added bonus, his insight to the racing just enhanced the coverage.
Hope they do the same next year or even better the Manx.

I had some issues at first, both on my phone and also when watching web based on my smart tv. Then I realised there was a ttplus app on the fire stick, it was faultless.

Itv 4 highlights were OK... I can listen to Cam Donald and Steve Plater but wtf do they need that pretty bird with the Olympic medal. She's is fit, but folk watching the TT ain't pulled in by that.

JM next year if he ain't racing, now he's got his teeth done.

Thank fcuk the senior was safe and a great finale. 👍

"Thank fcuk the senior was safe" - almost Dom Herbertson broke his leg and pelvis on lap 5. He's had a blinding week too. Glad he's been released from hospital and all also that they managed to deal with it without red flagging it.

I stopped watching the ITV4 stuff as too much waffling and bulls***.

So watched brief 10 min highlights vid on YouTube of each race.
