I love my honda but completely agree, just another UJM like the fazer, bandit and the mt-07.... ;)

Having owned both the 600 and 900 Hornet and an MT-07 I can kinda see the comparison as all 3 are let down by budget suspension. I disliked my 600 Hornet as it was an IL4 scream machine with crap suspension. The 900 was the better one of the two by far.

The MT-07 has a peach of an engine, albeit with a disappointing lack of top end, but is also let down by the suspension, front end in particular, which Is woefully under sprung and really vague, and thats from someone who doesn't exactly push a bike hard! :oops: I did think the MT was a great bike though and I felt a bit cheated, or annoyed at Yamaha for not giving it better suspension, as it deserved it!

There's nothing low about the front end of a GSXS 750
Oh no, i don't feel like the Suzuki is low, i just meant the headlight and some of the bodywork round the front seems to pull the lines down. It's probably a lot to do with headlight choices these days, I think I just always hark back to a round light up front for old man reasons

Off on a tangent, there was a real nice, 2017, low mileage, and by low I mean 160 miles, GSXS 750 came up the other day that sent me all a quiver

The headlight and instruments are mounted low compared with older bikes, I've also got an early 350 YPVS and it feels like the clocks are at eye level after riding my GSXS, the forks are long for USD forks, usually modern forks are 50mm shorter than old bike forks, the GSXS ones are about the same length (I haven't cared enough to measure them)

I think you should buy the GSXS, they're a great bike to ride, and you get used to the looks.

Dunno about bikes but it's quite common for car displays to have a rack of swappable batteries connected so that they can do stuff like display them with instruments (and lights) on now they're all digital.

(Someone I knew supplied such things but the company has been wound up. Possibly related to the BMW dealership that went up in flames....thanks to the battery rack...maybe... :D )

Alot of the car dealers near me have the car lights switched on all the time (on the brand new ones indoors), even at night when there's no-one there. They're just plugged in.

Plugged in to?

The thing with the battery racks was they were on wheels so could minimise trailing wires in places with no floor sockets. Elfin safety was a selling point. :D

Plugs in the floor under the car....I was sad enough to walk up to the window and have a look :D

Probably 'cause the battery is a twat to get to and remove in a modern car.

The CB650R's best feature is at the same time its worst problem: the IL4 engine. It's the last of its breed and many will miss a small-ish IL4, but all the others are twins because of better fuel efficiency and it being easier to make them compliant.

The CB650Rs worst feature is it's shit, cheap, finish, when a cheap Suzuki is better finished than any Honda, there's something wrong at Honda.

The new Hornet reminds me of the mid 90s Laverda 750 twin, and that was a very poor seller.

I guess the nearest competition power wise is the 790 Duke.

So it's a KTM for people who prefer Honda's

It looks a bit meh but as with any Honda it'll be real easy to ride fast and a 90hp twin is appealing knowing how much fun a 70hp MT07 can be
