At quarter distance I think SERT look most likely to win, with BMW second and Honda third, but all could change.

7 hours in SERT have lapped everyone else

Minor drama when a Kawasaki tried to get in the paddock after it broke down, 5 minutes of discussion before it was allowed in.

Another poor sod is having to push an R1 in uphill

Who's doing the night shift?
Watching or riding?
If riding, all 3 riders, their each doing approximately 40 minute sessions.
If watching, it'll be me until I fall asleep.

8 hours in, 16 to go, top 3 still the same, SERT now doing their stop go penalty.

Noticed that Christian Iddon's listed as a rider for SERT - is he just a reserve?

Yes, he's reserve, commentators were just talking about under what circumstances a reserve rider could ride, they didn't know.

Just had an answer, you can only use a reserve up to an hour before morning warm up

An interesting night

Honda France lost a chain dropping them from the lead
YART caught the leading BMW, quite an achievement, passed into the lead and had just made it stick, then there engine blew, so they've retired.
SERT had worked their way up to fourth
Just after the YART engine blew it started to rain, and is still raining.
SERT up to second and then crashed on a very slippery track, after repairs now back out in fifth.
Safety car was out while track was cleaned - oil dropped by a crashed R1.
Lots of bikes down in the wet.

BMW leading and have ridden a very good race, as have the Beringer Kawasaki team in second, and the same goes for the no.77 Yamaha in third.

Currently

1st BMW Marcus Reisburger (spelt wrong)
2nd Beringer Kawasaki Not Sure
3rd Honda France Gino Rea
4th SERT Greg Black
5th Mocheck Yamaha Dan Linfoot

4 hours to go SERT have just passed Honda France as I was typing this, so SERT third, Honda fourth, Greg Black is 10 seconds a lap quicker than anyone else

Still wet

Honda up to third, Gino has passed Greg Black, SERT will pit soon, so Honda have a solid third as they pitted 5 minutes ago.

BMW have a 7 lap lead so the race is theirs if they stay out of trouble, and Beringer Kawasaki have 4 laps over Honda France and SERT, so second could be up for grabs in a couple of hours, as both Honda France and SERT are quicker than Beringer Kawasaki.

People are still crashing in the wet, but I think the no.34 Suzuki has had the most crashes, there's only the engine and frame left of the bike that started the race.
