TT.

Post by singlesman »

All loaded up and ready to go, looks like it’s about to piss down and I don’t care, 😂.
Off to the IOM for two weeks, anyone else going over?

I had a look at the ferry's the other day, with bike about 270. My mates been going years and is starting to get pissed off.
He books a year in advance but reckons all the best sailings are going to the corporate trippers and can only get night crossings for next year.
You do get cancellations coming up if your solo with bike. Not sure if they still do the cheaper 4 days either.

Have a great trip .👍

She was sailing from Heysham, so just a few miles up the coast from the port.

I don't know if it's a popular overnight stop for bikes, it was a fairly new Z900.

Getting your bike nicked is a shitter, but doubly so because she's done nothing but talk about getting back to the TT for the last two years.

Me & my mates have been to a few TT's,one of them was mad enough to race it for a few years back in the late 90's early 00's.
We're not going this year & never take our motorbikes over,we usually take pushbikes or walk,to many Power rangers on the roads/bouncing off walls :wtf:
I'm back with my Triumph for the Classic TT in August,it's more chilled,a lot less Power rangers at the Classic TT :D
I booked my ferry & campsite in 2019...

I loved the TT and would take my bike, but didn't ride at certain times of day!! After about 5 or 6pm was best, commute was over and most of the power rangers would be in the pub by then, boasting about how fast they went and that they'd be good enough to go faster than McGuiness, Dunlop, Hickman et al!! (well, different names back then!! LOL

I used to go the them Manx, or Classic, with some mates and that was, as you say, way more chilled :D

Just checking back in, TT is frickin’ awesome as always, definitely hearing of more cases of bike/kit thefts but from the Heysham/Liverpool side, not the Island.
Atmosphere is incredible, think everyone is just made up to be back after such a long break, there are a few head cases out on the roads but there always have been. Don’t think its anywhere near as bad as it was in the late 80’s,when the place was full of young men on bikes rather than now, when it’s full of ‘old farts’ on bikes.
Anyway, a shot of Hicky trying to steal my phone on his way into Hillberry at 160mph.

It’s a iPhone Paul.
Travelling Marshall, (ex MGP racer) said the quick lads are hitting the apex at around 140mph so certainly 160+ depending how far up the road you are from the corner.

My mates just got back, shared the ferry with Hickman and McGuinness . Not sure if they asked my mate for a photo. 😁 anyway...

They're saying, as usual, crowd's are up, busier than ever, blah blah blah. He camps at St John FC and reckons its half as full as 10 years ago. Spaces in hedges where once there wasn't.

Be interested in Singlemans opinion on this. 👍
