Presided at a Church in Erith. Got to chat to the lovely couple who I will probably marry in September.

Home to grab a bite. back out to the next service, then home to grab my robes for the confirmation service in the evening.

Home by 9.30pm, enough time to see Tom Stoltman become back to back World's Strongest Man Champion again. Blitzed the opposition in the Atlas Stones again. He is a lovely chappy and so good to see his results after his incredible hard work in training.

True! But damn that was a BIG impact. Seriously impressed that the car protects the driver so much. And that he was able to be pretty coherent in the interviews even whilst the race was still going

Had a very pleasant, sedate ride with some of my enduro pals on road bikes. One brought his missus along so was very sedate, but I let loose on a few twisty bits.
Called in a couple of lovely bars up in the hills.
5 lovely salmon baguettes and drinks?

And as it's Canarian day, all the locals were in their traditional dress.

Went to the local post office with my V5C and a completed V112 form to register the mighty CG125 as a vehicle of historic interest (MOT free) and historic tax class (no road fund).

Made a Hawker Typhoon out of Lego, my hat goes out to Lego set designers, it's hard to make something realistic in Lego.

I walked today

Ok, I had the use of the parallel bars so I wasn't putting 100% weight on my leg. We did the scales thing first so I could feel what 70% felt like. Sadly I could only do two walks up the bars and back cos my right shoulder wasn't happy, so I had to stop. Me thinks it might take longer than I thought to get to 100% and fit enough to go home - most people at my point in recovery are walking with crutches, so walking loads more every day.

But never mind!! I WALKED!!!


Also get to use a tilt table every day as part of physio. Apparently 50% weight bearing is with the table at 30 degrees. So I've been there for a while. Last week we went from 30 degrees to 55 degrees Today, the scary physio put the table at 70 degrees But it was fine!!!

Well, fairly fine! No actual pain, but it was a lot achy after the morning exercises and the tilt table etc. Ice pack galore this afternoon and this evening!!

I'm very happy though!!

On top of that, I've got half of my very late cross stitch project finished, (I reckon it was bought about 22.5 years ago!!) so, happy about that too!

I got roped into helping a mate rewire some bits of a boat and start removing from seized and sheared off bolts from a outboard control box.

Been to Skegness, for the first time ever.

Visiting inlaws in Lincolnshire, it's a long old way to make a 4 year old travel just to see some crusties who aren't fully with it. So we combined with a trip to Skeggy for her.

By eck its grim isn't it? I didn't feel like I was gonna get knifed or owt, but it's certainly not Monaco

Still..little one was extremely happy to be given the opportunity to use her bucket and spade plus the chips are only 2 quid. No sourdough or flat whites to be seen anywhere!

It's frequented by a certain type, much like many seaside towns. The tractor unit that pulls the life boat out is pretty impressive tho'

Whenever I suggest going for a ride on the bikes, the wife always wants to go to the east coast to play on the penny pushers.

That's why I spent Saturday afternoon in Mablethorpe.

Skegness is so bracing! But probably not in the way they meant.

It always was a bit I hate to think what it's like now. There used to be a couple of little places along the coast that were OK but I imagine they're acres and acres of caravans now.

Went there with a Swedish friend some years back (that's not gay slang, BTW) because he'd heard about it. I just remember his look of disappointment and in his very thick Swedish accent saying, 'Skegness is SHIT!'
