Woke up late, mowed lawn, washed bbq. Mother is coming later so Mrs M is sterilising the house in preparation for the “inspection”.

So far:
Woke up.
Took the umpteenth lateral flow test in the past 2 weeks, still fucking positive.
Had a shower
Coughed a bit
Sat in the sun with a coffee
Watched a Spitfire doing some mild stunting (now a daily occurrence around here)
Coming up next .... Croissants.
It's a shit life really

Re: What have you done today thread?
Got up, drank a Sports Direct mug of single origin Ethiopian, did some crochet and went back to bed via the bathroom
Got up again, drank more coffee, run the hoover round and did the kitchen and rubbish. Now procrastinating before venturing out into the world. Not given anyone an update on my bike yet so off to start a thread about front brake discs.....

Got up.
Shouted into the porceline throne. Did some more of that. Then some more.
I genuinely feel like I've got the worst hangover, but I've not touched a drop in about 2 weeks.
Currently sweating quite a lot

Re: What have you done today thread?
A friend text me last night to say he had to come to Grenoble today so was I free for a visit!! Well, I do rarely go out at weekends, so yes!!
Just after lunch I met my friend outside the centre, he pushed the wheelchair to a shady place in the garden (I can't get there cos for the gravel path on a slope
). Hour and a half later he realised he'd be late for getting to the reason he'd come to Grenoble!! Blooming brilliant. Then went to the cafe for a 'treat' and saw the other friendly brit, so we sat in our respective wheelie chairs and chatted for a bit. Then I bought an ice cream (white choc and raspberry magnum
) to eat in my room.
Now i've eaten the ice cream, I'll do some cross stitch, go for lunch and do similar (minus the visit and the ice cream) tomorrow!! LOL

Life is for living. Buy the shoes. Eat the cake. Ride the bikes. Just, ride the bikes!!

Took my bike for its MoT. It passed, with an advisory for a back tyre worn down to the limit

Went round the Roman baths, very enjoyable, and then off to the spa just round the corner.
Fell asleep in the steam room and someone woke me up to check I was OK.

Total BBQ fail today, turns out wet briquettes won’t burn. Man card handed in and I’ve destroyed my BBQ Tongs.

Re: What have you done today thread?
Bought another Audi A1.
From the same bloke I bought the Gremlinette's one from.
Two in a week. I asked if he had a loyalty card. Buy 11, get the 12th one free.
This one was on behalf of the B-I-L who saw it on their website, decided he wanted it, so I went to see it and bought it on his behalf.
Bit tricked up, but not too Barry.

Got to work, drank coffee, sifted through the weekend's emails. It's a grey day - typical south coast mizzle, frizzy hair weather. Wishing the whole of the UK better weather for the Jubilee weekend and beyond as I'll heading to West Britain for a mini-break.

Just done a covid test as I’m off to see the BIL who’s in a rehab centre following his leg being taken off due to diabetes.
Forgotten what a pleasure it is to shove a stick up your nose!! Bloody nearly threw up.
Wonder where we will have to shove the stick when the Monkey Pox testing starts!!

Back to bloody painting this week. I don't mind too much as the weather is unsettled here anyway.
Looking decent for the weekend,so it's a case of holding that thought.
