I think in honesty the first thing will be a seat... There's 2 ways of going there.

KTM Power Parts or Seat Concepts.

The SC seat seems better, but is wider, double the price and almost impossible to buy as it's in the States and out of stock.

The PP seat is "email KTM wait 3 days".

Exhaust, it's not bad, not terrible.

But at the moment it's a question of whether £300 goes on an exhaust or £300 goes on Silverstone.

I've already got Donington with the lads on the 2nd June, so not long for that, but @Welsh Muffin is on Silverstone on the 12th July and i could do that with her... Although it does bring a logistical complexity of only having a single bike trailer and her being very much against driving with a bike on the back.... or we hire a van but that adds over £110 to the price of the day.. So i dunno at the moment.
SlipperyStone might be a nightmare on a "slow" bike. Might be a mobile chicane.
I've done it 4 times on 690s. 2 times in novice, 2 in Inters. It's debatable which I enjoyed more as it's a different way of riding in both groups on a 690.

But Inters can be tough as it's 1000cc central nowadays

You can borrow my trailer if you like. I don't need it for that week.

ETA: It's one of these...

I used to miss gears on the 690 when I first got it but then after that was only once or twice a year (2.5k) but it's a quirky box for sure and only liked changes under load.

The GSXS gearbox in comparison though is buttery, silky, pillowy, lovely and lots of other things ending in y.

In 690 related chat I have a 16 tooth front sprocket that came off my Duke if you want it? Sure it's a 16 as it was the standard one. Only did about 1000 miles.

On the Duke about 120ish. I reckon aerodynamics will be even worse on the SMC though

That's open to debate, engine wise I've seen 128mph at Donny, but that was on the more stable front end Duke. I think I'll see 120 clock speed

If it does 120 mph it's going to be vaguer than a politician on Question Time, the front mudguard will generate lift.

I don't really have knee down sort of roads here and certainly wasn't pushing it today. Because of the sit up position as I'm sure you'll know from the dirt bikes, it feels like you're at 50deg every corner, just seems to lean and feel big lean. But clearly not yet.

Forks, comfort is 15 clicks out on comp and rebound, sport is 10 clicks out on both from fully clockwise.

Mine is currently, comp 14 out, rebound 23 out

I've not checked the rear yet, but will in morning

If he does 120 he'll be at the lower end of Wull's cruising speed on his usual commute

Back suspension settings were pretty much exactly on the middle KTM setting, both ends are now set to there.

Shouldn't be massively different as they were not THAT far out.

Sadly, the rain is incoming now so i'm unlikely to see any seat time today.

Did well on the Wilbers shock off the MT07 and that went straight into the bike fund and straight to @PremierBikes KTM
