Does it have a KPH speedo and Kanji characters everywhere? The fuse box on Mrs D's grey import MX5/Eunos Roadster was a total mystery :D
I thought insurance might be an issue, but not so. Made bugger all difference actually. I suppose a JDM import is a different kettle of fish to a bog standard European car that's been over there and is just coming back to its roots, as it were.
All the media is sorted via a software upgrade that's been done, so all in MPH and other old money and the radio, maps etc. are all sorted. The company (basically one bloke who has been doing this for years) I dealt with were kosher, all the cars they have come with a JEVIC certificate for mileage. This one was immaculate. Tried to haggle a bit but they weren't having any of it.

The only issue is the handbook is all in Japanese. I could do a few years at night school, but instead I've got one in English from eBay for a score. Service book is in Japanese as well, but it's got Audi stamps in it at the right intervals, albeit in Kms.

In fairness, a good car for the right price, so I'm happy. I even got the Gremlinette to part with a fair chunk of her savings to pay towards it.

A 12mm rod of steel. Bloody handle on my bottle jack is only about 10" long. Its a good wee jack but using it under my bus axle is a right pain so reach this diddy wee thing so making a longer one.

Its the simple things

I really must try GF beers as regular beer gives me terrible guts the next day. I suspect it's the gluten, but it would be nice to know !
I've switched to rice based beers like Estrella Damm for the same reason

My new Vena vommute phone case. First open, non closing wallet type case Ive had for years, but I like the hidey card thing and I should be able to use the phone as a camera easier...

I don't think I've seen a Fat Willy's Surf Shack sticker since 1991.

I had a Fat Willy's hoody - my first ever hoody probably - in about 1990. I still don't know who Willy is or the significance of the brand.

Up here in the frozen North, in the 90's, a Fat Willy's bumper sticker was the epitome of cool. I'm still not sure why.

I know it must have been 1990 cause we went to Cornwall in the caravan that year. I remember thinking it was weird seeing the same brand back home after I'd got my hoody in a little shop in Cornwall on holiday.

I often wondered if people with FWSS stickers and kit thought they were tapping into some kewl American surfing vibe rather than a little outfit in Newquay that just went ballistic for a while (but is still going).

In 1995 my parents retired home to Ireland. At some point prior to this my mum noticed that kitchen bin liners were very keenly priced in Woolworths, so she stocked up. Today I've started on the last roll. :D
