I joined the FB page for these and there are a lot of people on them that have come from bigger bikes, such as a MT-09, plenty of BMW GSs and a few dropped down from Africa Twins too! So, there must be something good about them? Bear in mind its a slow revving, low powered bike (54bhp?) and is never going to set your biking world on fire, if you like performance and fast riding, but the majority of owners seem happy to see past that? A lot tour on them as well.

I've been thinking about selling my RT to part fund an X-Adv. Just idle thoughts on for now but there is something about them.

Think we need a run out and you Can take the Adv you can have it for your Rospa run tomorrow if you like be a proper test then.

How are you going with the ADV? I've been looking at a maxi scoot for commuting and generally titting about on. My boy is looking at a bmw c400 x or gt, so it would be rude not to get a scooter. May even do the long trip to Goodwood FOS if we get them!!

My main issue with the honda is that I only have short arse legs - 29" inseam, so reading up, they're quite tall, so I may not be able to put a foot down, which will be a bugger, as scooters go, I quite fancy the x-adv.

Aye you would lose the off road pegs as the rear bolt for the bars uses the same hole. They are very easy to fit just three bolts. I have Givi ones

Use https://imgbb.com/ to upload images. Once they've uploaded select bb code and then click the copy button it will show. Then open a thread/post and hold down ctrl button and press and release V and it'll paste the links required. You don't need any other image tags etc.

The surprising thing about this bike is the amount of attention it gets! Lots of WTF is it type comments, but in a positive way. A couple of people missed the small Honda badge on the back of the seat (its only branding) and have assumed it was Italian for some reason?

I spoke to two guys in the BP garage, one had a huge GS and the other a huge Multistrada. Those bikes are so wide! Neither knew what the X-Adv was, or had ever heard of it! One had just got rid of a Africa TWin with DCT and was kinda missing the DCT, but said even though he'd been in Honda dealers multiple times with the AT, he'd never seen an X_Adv in there? The word that gets used a lot by people seeing one for the first-time is, "funky"!

For my part, I'm super happy with this bike. It continues to grow on me. It's certainly one of the most comfortable bikes I've ever owned! I honestly can't see this going anywhere for months!

I've just been out to put some stuff in the bike ready fro going back to work tomorrow and saw the bike is absolutely filthy. The matt colour scheme does hide it compared to a normal paint job, but even then,it is disgracefully filthy. Then I realised, I've never cleaned it since I got it in March. Odd really as I really like the bike?

Best way to show your appreciation for a bike is to ride it. Never mind all this primpin' and polishin'.

Had to run an errand last night to the other side of Romford, so I did it on my way home from work. Job took about 5 minutes and I headed for home. I took the back roads and had a bit of a spirited ride. Well, I say spirited, but on a heavy bike with low BHP its never going to be that spirited! But it was fun. Something touched down through a couple of the tight bends but the tyres look like they had plenty of room to go more? But I have to say I really shouldn't get as much fun out of this bike as I do. It's just so relaxing and comfy to ride and the DCT box makes it absolutely effortless! I never did remove the DB killer but it does have a nice little exhaust sound as it is. I think its fair to say this bike is a keeper!

Must say on the Suzuki the OE can is ace. When on the bike it's pretty loud, louder in fact than my brothers Z750 with an unbaffled Akra! No idea how that works but I'm really happy with the noise. Even my Dad who is proper mutton rode it Sat and commented on how good it sounds.

Must say on the Suzuki the OE can is ace. When on the bike it's pretty loud, louder in fact than my brothers Z750 with an unbaffled Akra! No idea how that works but I'm really happy with the noise. Even my Dad who is proper mutton rode it Sat and commented on how good it sounds.

It's maybe the airbox you hear. On my Zed it howls and wails,but it isn't from the cans!

On mine it's deffo the unleashing of the harras of horses out of the termi!!
