Nothing crazy today, still a bit cold at 9deg. But 30 mins of pleasure.

Couple of hundred miles yesterday blatting round a couple of counties and really enjoyed it. Met up with Demonbiker (formerly of VD) with his huge Panzer for a quick chat as he was also out doing the same. We rode about 20 miles together then went off in our own directions again.

I had almost forgotten how much fun the Multi was on fast open quiet roads as i mainly ride the little 600 at slow speeds in built up areas these days

If ever a bike desperately needs an autobahn, it's that one. Did you get out of first ?

7 years ago I was riding a VFR750, a great bike to lope across Europe on.

This day I was at the Hartside Cafe near Alston, just about to leave and an SV650 set off in front of me. I though "bit of fun, easily keep up with him". Wrong big time, he left me for dead. That day I got the message about weight and hairpins.

So I bought a Cat D BMW SC650 and fixed it up and started to enjoy "light". A whole lot of fun that was.

Anyone who hasn't ridden the Alston road, it has some of the best hairpins you can get in England.

Here is one of them..

This afternoon out to play without interacting socially with a single person for 130 miles on mostly empty country roads :)

Removed the topbox and larger screen for the little carbon fibre Pikes Peak style screen

Just got back from a hours evening ride in the sun, out to the Strines, through The Bradfields and back home via the back roads through Chapeltown and Elsecar.

It's flipping great living on the edge of the peaks.
