Pah, my maid sucks the tyre off while my manservant blows me up.
Or is it the other way round, I can never remember the details.

Re: The Official Pleasing Purchase Thread
Today I achieved great Yorickshireness.
I love the Spanish beers here but sometimes our British shop has some beers I used to like in UK.
Looked on website last night and they had 24 x 500ml cans of Grolsch for 12.50 Euros. Bargaino.
I was passing today so popped in for Shredded Wheat and lo and behold, piles and piles of Grolsch.
The Yorkshireness kicked in and 3 cases went in the trolley.
Nervously I waited at the checkout in case the price was wrong
Indeed it was . It came up at 10€
500 ml cans here are all over a Euro, so 72 for 30€ made me giggle.
Hope the folk at next party like Grolsch

It's not proper Grolsch unless its out of a glass bottle with a sprung re-sealable cap

Never been a great fan of Grolsch but the past two weekends my fridge has been getting filled with San Miguel as ASDA has been selling the Gluten free version However, Tennents have brought out a new Export what is just as nice and buying it direct makes it around £1 a bottle.

I don't want to be the turd in the punchbowl* but with all of these be wary of 'brewed under licence' versions. Those Grolsch cans looked very iffy for example.

Re: The Official Pleasing Purchase Thread
I really must try GF beers as regular beer gives me terrible guts the next day. I suspect it's the gluten, but it would be nice to know !Felix wrote: ↑Fri May 13, 2022 7:40 pm Never been a great fan of Grolsch but the past two weekends my fridge has been getting filled with San Miguel as ASDA has been selling the Gluten free version However, Tennents have brought out a new Export what is just as nice and buying it direct makes it around £1 a bottle.

Re: The Official Pleasing Purchase Thread
Every chance yes as i dont get that no more but then i am 100% gluten free. TBF the beers are not bad but not many pubs sell it and if they do it will be Peroni or the likes. Tesco sell Daura Damm what is nice and Morrisons for Speckled Hen. If you want to drink and not have the big hangover try Skinny Brands lager or Tennents Light as they are low on sugar and around 3.5%
