Re: Help Me Build A Bar
Make it an Irish theme bar by putting up a Guinness Poster, nailing an old push iron to the ceiling and calling it O'Yoricks.

Mirrors so you can check your eyebrows and nasal hair while you're waiting for your drink. Cinzano, Lambrusco, Martini and Babycham?

Re: Help Me Build A Bar
All 4 walls were a bloody mess and I wanted it perfect so I've been hard at it all day. Was worth the effort as it would have pissed me off.
This is the first mockup layout and I think it utilises the space quite well.
Not sure if I'll be able to knock a hole in the wall, so this layout will suit both options. Gonna get a couple of carpenter mates to pop round. One owns a bar and knows what's what. The other is a star and he'll be doing the work. Not gonna scrimp and want it to look it's best.
Getting excited now

Oh, you'll also need (for that authentic look) beer mats and bar towels. (Can't remember the last time I saw beer mats in a pub ).

Re: Help Me Build A Bar
Have a look at Vistaprint or the likes as they do beermats with your own design. Think they call them paper coasters but its the same thing and if priced like the business cards you can get a lot for little money.

Re: Help Me Build A Bar
Any bars on the island being refitted for the summer season? Maybe some skip diving and architectural reclamation for some fittings.
