zarco long lap.

Post by IOU0 »

Really, just really.
I know there is bad blood there, but Asparagus was running wide all over the place, and you can't just expect to come from that far over and expect there to be a gap.

But his execution of the long lap was superb....... even the Michelin tyre man in the garage looked surprised it stuck to the dusty crap on the track as his knee slider through up clouds of the stuff

Did you see Andy Irvin punt off Josh Brookes down Hollywood ? That's a scary fast place to crash.

Tis fair if you ask me. It was a proper harsh move and not one that should be encouraged

I was scared for Brooks. Was happy when he got up OK :)

I've not watched it with the sound on, so dunno what Brookes has to say, but it looks like a racing incident to me.

Ahem, bollox. It's 130 through there on big bikes. If it wasn't for the new mega expensive air bags, Brookes could have been a cripple, or worse.

That corner has 3 apexes, and they all know what's what. He's a nice young kid, but he can't do that.

He wouldn't have pushed his brother off there. Think about that.

Just had a look at the vid.
Brookes left the door open and Irwin saw an opportunity for a place.
Not a traditional overtaking place at Donington though.

In an earlier interview, he was asked about nudging his brother out of the way. His answer ? "I just pushed him a bit. Anybody else would have been pushed right out to the grass".

He has a mean side.

To be fair he didn't 'push him out to the grass', physics did that.
It was a naughty pass but Brookes must have known he was there so could have backed out.
Are you telling me that in your illustrious racing career you didn't make any errors of judgement in the heat of competition.
If it had happened at the back of the pack it would have been a racing incident.
Taking another riders bit of tarmac is racing. Whether it be 20mph at mallory hairpin or 130 at hollywood.
I've worked for Jim Moodie.......he had a mean side!

I thought Zarco was hard done by. Probably cost him 2nd place too. Pol was running wide for about the 3 or 4 corner beforehand.

Andy Irwin punting someone off in a desperate overtaking manoeuvre, who would have believed it!!!
I’ll bet Scott Redding is ‘kin relieved to be well out of the way and no longer his ‘go to’ target man!😳
