I thought very seriously about one of them recently. Over 100mpg and I love the look of them.

You need a 500cc EFI Enfield, like a C5 Classic or a B5 Bullet.Asian Boss wrote: ↑Tue Mar 22, 2022 9:02 pm I thought very seriously about one of them recently. Over 100mpg and I love the look of them.
90mpg+ even when thrashed, but proper bike sized, not much faster than a 125cc top speed wise, but loads more torque. I love my B5 for tootling around on.

Re: 45 Years ago then and now
My little KTM is returning 78mpg so far including short town journeys (2 miles) and one longer one too. It'll sit happily at motorway speeds. It's a great bike for a tight arse like me. Those Enfields sound more frugal but I don't know if they'll sit at 75mph ok.KungFooBob wrote: ↑Tue Mar 22, 2022 9:18 pmYou need a 500cc EFI Enfield, like a C5 Classic or a B5 Bullet.Asian Boss wrote: ↑Tue Mar 22, 2022 9:02 pm I thought very seriously about one of them recently.
