Yeah I'm all over that. We get back from Pembrey on the Sunday and I've got the Monday and Tues off as we were supposed to be at Oulton.

I can make the 24th.

Might have the dropped post back by then too.

Need postcode for the car park we'll be heading to. Also, time. From recent memory, it's mega rammed :D

Google suggests the car park post code is GU5 9QW but the Google pin isn't actually at the car park:

Aim for Hurtwood Car Park 2 (Walking Bottom), shaded green below. There is a another car park, though very much smaller, located on Pond Lane/behind the Hurtwood Inn.

There are additional car parks all over the Hurtwood. The benefit of parking in Walking Bottom is that one of the trails I plan to ride finishes up there and you don't then have to slog yourself back up to your car. If Walking Bottom is full, I'd suggest heading up Radnor Road towards the Holmbury Hill viewpoint. There is a little used car park on the right hand side of the road, marked by the red cross, about 600m from the junction with Ewhurst Road/Peaslake Village Stores (Mr Badger, this is where we parked up years ago - just short of the start line for Barry Knows Best). If you continue on Radnor Road you will come to Hurtwood Car Par 1 (Holmbury Hill). I'm suggesting these two additional car parks because we'll be heading up to the Holmbury viewpoint to start with:

If you do park on the hills we could do a ferry system at the end of the ride - leave your bikes down at Walking Bottom whilst I/someone takes you to your car.

Timing wise - later in the day is better for parking however if we're there for 8.30am we shouldn't have any problems.

Note 1. The roads leading to Peaslake are mainly single lane with passing places.
Note 2. The entrance to Walking Bottom car park is pot holed, if you're driving anything sporty it's likely to ground out.

8.30am is fine with me. There isn't a cafe but Peaslake Village Stores has great cake.

I was at Peaslake yesterday. The trails were muddy following a micro-storm but draining well and puddles were quickly drying up in the three hours I was out.

I prefer to say that I was checking out the trail conditions. :D

Found a few new (to me) trails and thought I should ride them before we all go barrelling down them on Monday.

I've got Monday booked off. What's the plan then? 8:30 at walking bottom car park?
