HP500MT

We have the above computer. It's a business desk top. It has 4gb of memory on two cards (only two slots). According to Mr Memory, the max it can take is 4gb.....is this likely to be right, and if so is a higher speed memory the way to go?

What operating system are you using?

If it's an older 32bit OS there's no point upgrading the memory.

Also it's probably already running the fastest memory it can.

The only way you will improve performance is replacing the hard drive with an SSD.

I was ambling towards the same conclusion.....the upgrade sites are saying much the same thing.
