The riding challenge game. Pic of your bike 'somewhere'

Post by weeksy »

SO here's how it works.

Person 1 sets the challenge for the forum...

Todays is "Picture of your bike under a bridge"

THe forum then have 96 hours to complete the task and the first person to post the picture 'wins' and gets to set the next challenge. If no-one manages the task, then either the current winner picks a new one, or the Mods/Admins do the job and sets the new challenge.

MAke them as fun, interesting and challenging as you like. But realistic of course... No point setting "A pic of your bike in the Namibian desert" as that's going to make it almost impossible :)

So... Under a bridge....

You trying to find out who the trolls are? ;)

This thread worked well for quite a few years in the other place, I'll have to make a bit of an effort here

Sod it, in the interest of getting the thread moving for tomorrow... I'll give you it.

Lets not make the next one "your bike next to a roller coaster" or something crazy, so we can get going tomorrow as the weather is looking a little better.

I'm too late with this but since I've done it:

Where is it? - at Murthly where the Perth to Inverness railway line passes over the road. Just as I started the bike to ride off one of the HST sets new to this line came over at 55-60 mph. Days gone by it would have been a Black Five - now that would be something! cheers Joe

The sun was (sort of) out today, but most importantly the roads were dry which seemed as good an excuse as any to go and break a few laws at least one more time before we all die and the world ends, and what better bike to do it on eh.

And on my travels, I managed to combine the first two challenges in one
Image[/img]

So for the next one, your bike next to a 1970s (preferably road-legal) car

What about a 1970s road legal motorbike?

1. It's not per the request.
2. The challenge is about 'riding', not walking into the garage.

So, i'm giving it a NOPE.

Aye, thanks Tricky, you've set me up to show off my two examples of British Leyland's finest:

ImageIMG_20200321_095302087_HDR by Joe Lamont, on Flickr

Both are fully roadworthy and I like to use them. The orange (no, no, Vermilion if you please) Allegro 1500 Special (no, really) was built at the Seneffe plant in Belgium and imported back to the UK. In Denim Blue Metallic is the Vanden Plas 1500 Auto (certainly not an Allegro), and if anyone thinks a Triumph America is slow they should try one of these. This car was UK built and was one of the very last to be trimmed at the Vanden Plas works at Kingsbury, North West London. Cheers!

I went for a ride today and thought some of the villiages might have had an old banger sat outside, but I think the villages in north Essex are too posh. Its all new Mercs and BMs. Bloke up the road has an old MG but it's on a stand under a cover with no engine, wheels, doors or glass :(

We had a brown VDP allegro 1500 which mrs RDBRGEE tried putting it into reverse without the clutch, totally shredding the gearbox. :(
