It's got all the fancy toys that new bikes come with, fuel gauge, self cancelling indicators, gear indicator, ride by wire, ABS, LED lighting etc etc, granted it's hugely underpowered for its engine size but as a result it's also massively under stressed.

And throw a couple of hundred quid at it (as I have) you install an FP3 or SE tuner and you can dick around with every setting, fuel table and what ever else you want to play with through the comfort of your phone.

It's a whole 25mph shy of max speed of my previous Speed Triple that maxed out at 155mph, I took the stiple to it's max once, this gets to its max at least 50% of my rides, I might throw a cam at it next year and from the comfort of my phone delete the inbuilt speed limiter.

I was always going to end up with a Harley, it took me over 20 years to get here and I regret not getting here sooner, offer me £1,000,000 and a free bike of my choice to never ride it or another Harley again and I'd tell you to fuck off, offer me 2 million and I've got a whole 2 other bikes in mind that I'd have to give consideration to.

Out of interest, how much did it cost, including the extra?

I suspect it was a LOT more than my bike!

To buy the bike the price was £14,000, but the out of pocket cost to me at the time was £4,000.
First round of mods, exhaust, tuner, lights, saddle bags was probably £1000, this round of bits will come in at another £1000, if I sold all the OEM bits I took off I could recoup around £1000.

Dosen't matter to me, it makes me happy, and you can't put a price on that.

For some time now the resale value of a HD has been a fair bit higher than other marques, especially Japanese bikes. Aside from good residual value, the other win factor for owners is,quality extras add to the price of a Harley. On a Jap bike it can very much work the other way and you'll be marked down for tat.

I still do 130 occasionally (Sunday was the last time), I just don't fancy it on your Harley, though I'm not sure why, because it's low, long and heavy, so probably far more stable than my GSX-S, and probably much more sensible than the 30+ year old bikes I was doing it on before that.

Loving the early start to this years season, not so much the state of the roads though.
I'm going to have to give it its first proper wash and clean after yesterdays bimble

Decent mud-guard extension may stop most of the crap blocking the radiators air flow?

ECU needs to be flashed, which used to require a dealer, but my FP3 tuner has had the function added :banana-wrench:

TBH I've had the mudguard extension on the Rockster so long I don't even notice it any more.

I have posted this before but the Multi comes with front and rear mudguard extenders wrapped in blister plastic you can choose to fit yourself. When the owner of the local dealership visited the factory he asked why they come separate from the bike in plastic the reply was "They serve a da purpose, but theya looka da sheet" ;)

Style over substance, but at least they give the parts as part of the package

The only time I ever use the bikes horn is to check it's working before I take it for the MOT.

You're just looking for stuff to change for change sake (which isn't a bad thing if you enjoy it).
