Hmmmm, irony overload in this thread title for me.
I've never (knowingly at least) met a Scot who doesn't mind being called a Sweatie, and in fact, a good few I know would clump anyone who used the term.....

My (non blood) Uncle was a weegie. He'd stand up if he heard the pipes and he'd often get teary eyed when listening to them. My Nan used to call them wailing spiders! She absolutely hated the things unless they were playing Amazing Grace then she thought they were beautiful!
