Not often a speed limit reduction is reversed.

Good. It sounds as if common sense is prevailing - for once? I couldn't help smiling at this bit, though: "the speed reductions began to be implemented at a rapid pace". Shouldn't they have done them slowly? After all, speed kills. :D

Known as 'perceptual countermeasures'.

Been trialled in Australia, New Zealand and Scotland, to my knowledge. Didn't know about the Austrian trial though.
