Re: Mofo's 690 Duke
Ta for the offer, will that fit the Duke battery box? Let me see how I get on with battery/jump pack this morning and then I'll suss out where to source a battery from.
Pissed off with this battery only new last year and spent winter in the house.

FFS forgot how big the jump pack clippers are. Can only get them on in a position where the cables will be in the way. Bollocks

Re: Mofo's 690 Duke
That's exactly why i have small ones. (There's a joke there somewhere i bet).
But both my jump pack (lithium type) and my charger have small connectors. Even then, on some bikes it can be tricky.

Might be the right one for it? I took a picture but didn’t think to measure it ! Maybe dimensions are online?

Re: Mofo's 690 Duke
With the battery pack it's spinning nicely but still no firing yet. Gave it 4 goes of about 30 secs or so and stopped for now as can smell a fair bit of petrol and don't want to flood it. Battery pack back on charge and will leave it an hour and try again.
I filled with Esso super last time out so it would have no ethanol and petrol level is low which is usually as I leave it. Next step is to go get some fresh super and see if that helps.

Re: Mofo's 690 Duke
LOL. After having my CX500 parked up for a while I spent 3 days trying to get it going. An electrician neighbour pored over the wiring diagram and asked 'what does that switch do?'
(From memory I think it was actually in the correct position but the contacts were cruddy. Click, click, click....brummmm. Hey ho, it's something you only forget to try once ).

Cost of Super Unleaded this morning?
£1.69!!!!
So just chucked in 2.5 litres of fresh super and given it a shake. Round 2 starts after I've had a cup of tea.
Please bastard start.

Re: Mofo's 690 Duke
It lives!!!!!
Thank fook for that. Fresh petrol and a slight bit of throttle and she caught. Ran it up for 10 mins or so and hopefully that'll be that. Battery back on charge and jump pack back on charge in case.
