Ruroc Gear

Post by dayglo jim »

Any good?

Spec seems good but I'm cautious about buying online only when I'm not used to the feel and sizing of the brand, particularly when its reasonably pricey.

I dislike buying any bike clothing online, but Sportsbikeshop are great with returns.

I haven't used any Ruroc gear.

I picked up the enginehawk (a ruroc brand) knucklehead jacket from the bike show. The quality seems really good, fit is good (I got a large and it fits me as I would expect).

I’m happy with it.

If you're a YouTube influencer their helmets are the best thing since the coming of christ, for mere mortals the online reviews are less than stellar.
I was super interested in getting an Enginehawk jacket but they failed to show at the bike show they said they were going to attend and I wasn't going to drop a couple of hundred quid on something I've not poked or prodded at first.

Which bike show? I got mine at the nec in December.

Didn’t know they existed before then.

It was the MCN festival of motorcycling at Peterborough showground early last year.
They were around selling online for about a year before that, I knew of them about another 8 - 10 months earlier than their launch because they had a load of bollocks secret squirrel club on Facebook looking for feedback on designs and features etc.

Well if you can get the sizing right I don't think you'll be disappointed with quality.
