Morning ll,
WI qualified as a Veterinary Surgeon at Liverpool University in 1981, spent 8 years working in Lancashire until 1989 then moving to here in Lincolnshire. I took early retirement in 2013 following life-threatening injuries in a cycle-race here in the Lincs Woldson 8th August 2012. I was not expected to survive my fractured skull, multiple brain haemorrhages, five broken ribs and punctured lung, plus the least of my issues a broken collar bone. But I was placed in an induced coma by my super consultant neurosurgeon at Hull Infirmary, Gerry Reilly and on waking me from that told Gerry that all I wanted to do was to get back on my bike! He promised he'd get me there and he has. But during my convalescence I have been giving my presentation Cows In Trees and Other Stories in various places w Wantead in London, Newquay, back at Lancashire to friends and ex-clients, in Leeds to family and family friends from my youth... But I am willing to travel to give this. If you want to know how a well-trained, well-educated professional has been attacked, chased, fallen over, been confused, puzzled and embarrassed by his work ad patients then please listen to my talk. It takes 45-60 minutes depending upon questions afterwards. I can absolutely guarantee much laughter at my own misfortunes! I do not usually charge for this as I do it for my own enjoyment as well. Reminding me that despite my unexpected route into retirement, before that I did achieve my dream career and did not completely waste my five years as a student tin Liverpool back in the day!! PM me if you are interested Thanks in anticipation, hawker/Julian Earl...!
