ON TREND: A DUCATI SCRAMBLER STREET TRACKER FROM VIETNAM

Post by weeksy »

I like the way BikeExif is daily giving us 'different' things at the moment... Whether i like some of them is very open to debate... but they're not your usual things currently.

Like.

It's a bit light on instrumentation and a few other bits that might hinder getting an MoT but it would be fun if you could get it road legal. :D

I don't mind that.

They've fitted belt covers too!

I like flat trackers, but I don't like that, the proportions are wrong

There’s something about blue bikes that puts me off, If it were another colour then maybe.
Tacky anodised bits should go too.

Soemthing disproportionate about it. It has an oddness, but I don't think I dislike it?

Well now, that works for me. I might lose the blue anodised tat and the jury's out on the perpex plate, but that aside, pretty cool.

I think the Swingarm is a bit too long for the bike, it looks like a kid wearing his Dad's trousers.

Loving the colour scheme though, it's about 90% there for me I reckon.

Why do all those 'box' exhausts look like they were made in an last minute panic rush by a drunken welder after he just broke up with his girlfriend? Surely it can't be 'that' hard to make them look at least 'slightly' well made. You can almost taste the tears and Carlsberg.

I like the 'idea' of the box exhausts, but I've never seen one that was well made.

Some Ixil stuff isn't bad. At least the carbon cover hides the gashery.

I like it, not sure about the colour though. if I was going blue with a Ducati I'd go the paler Blue of the Italian football / Rugby strip with white.
that frame and SA combo would be a great base for a modern Pantah special too.

That’s an off the shelf quat d exhaust not a bespoke one, they are interesting but apparently also offensively loud.
