Kayak'd from Fingringhoe (yes, it is a place!) to Alresford Mill, lovely and warm but a strong wind on the paddle back!

Cleared space in the garage for a potential purchase.... depends on cash flow of course, but I'm a man of faith you know! Wife has okayed the midlife crisis, so I am glad.

Now have to stick the stuff taken from garage into the loft space! Ah well, at least it is for a good purpose.

Time for a quick drink and then to the loft I go...

I have been driving my wife around the north of England looking at poxy little diesel powered SUV/crossover things. She didn't find one that she likes, so I may be doing something similar tomorrow, and Monday.

I'm looking forward to going back to work on Tuesday

Had a Covid test.

Appointment booked for a set time, but arrived really early, wondering whether I could get in early?

2 cars ahead of me with occupants being tested, two more waiting. I was home (40 miles away) about appt time.

Things to know:
1. Swab to back of throat, "say ahhhh". You run out of breath before they finish
2. Swab up nose tickles. I didn't know that sinuses could be ticklish:)

It was! Turns out the loft is a lot bigger than I thought and I can hide a lot of motorcycle stuff up there! Oh how the plot thickens.

Is that the one at Sarisbury green? Is it worth a visit with a dog and grandkids ?

I shall be taking my bike for a spin around the back of the hill before ending up at Route 66 before the family arrive for a barbecue..

Heard the nose thing is unpleasant too, one of my staff who lives in Leicester lockdown had one, he didn’t enjoy it either!!!

When I did mine they dropped the kit in the car via the passenger window and it was all DIY. It was basically a home test without and post involved. I didn't realise they did it in some places ... unless they've all changed in the last month

I had the same at Gatwick a couple of weeks ago, the diagram seemed to point right at my gag reflex so I'm not sure my DIY attempt hit the right spot.

Not just today, but for the last couple of weeks I've been watching the building I've been in for 11 years be slowly taken apart around me. The middle of October I will be decommissioning the remainder of the IT infrastructure and locking up for the final time. I've filled half a skip with old software, manuals and books going back to the dark ages and there must be a couple of tons of old stuff for WEEE disposal. Sad times.
