That's a bloody awful thing!
Look at the height of the tank in front of the rider! It must have an airbox the size of Dorset! :wtf:

Yeah my initial impression was based on it looking quite blingy....but actually that's all the standard Honda hardware innit. The CB1000R catches me out cause its got pretty high spec stuff just as standard.

Popped in Orwell Motorcycles today as I had to take my son to his kick boxing grading, they've sold the blue GSXS750 and a black one this week.

Day started with me waiting on Suzuki to call me about Mr 10am. Come midday and I call them, 10am bloke was a no show but they'd not called me. So thought I'd try and get up there.

Then I saw this whilst on the phone to Suzuki

This is a decent price for a 2020 so I decide to test the 09 instead.

Test ride went well within the confines of the shitty road conditions. Suspension felt good, brakes were good and the riding position was very comfortable. The throttle was really abrupt and I was pogoing up the street when I noticed it was in A mode. So pulled over and set it to standard. This was better but still fairly abrupt and not helped by thicker gloves and 3 months not riding. Greasy roundabouts were a bit tricky with the throttle but sortable or I'd get used to it. It's a really windy day and a short stint of A120 into the wind was blardy exposed, back the other way was much better but it needs a screen. This was at about 130-140 kph. Yes kph as that's what the clocks were set to and I couldn't work out how to change them back!!

So would I buy an MT09? Yes.

Would I buy this MT09. No.

It was a decent price and ok on first quick look but the heated grips control sticker (yes sticker!!!) Was peeling off exposing the internals, the brake banjo bolts were in a state, the disc carriers were rusting and I noticed it had been dropped. First giveaway was a snapped swingarm bobbin thread in the swingarm with a small piece of swingarm missing and then clocked pillion peg/hanger scrape and the same on the gear lever. Rider peg and engine cases, bar end etc were fine so assume they'd been replaced.

All that was enough for me to be put off.

So MT09 is def in the running, will try and test Suzuki and Z9 anyway if I can.

Yeah after chatting you did the right thing.

The Premier Bikes one has merit.

https://www.premierbikes.com/used-bikes ... 101974.htm

I honestly think you should demo an mt07.

£6500 brand new.

@Supermofo - pop over to Weeksy's, ride his MT07 over to Premier, try that MT09,
then this one https://www.premierbikes.com/used-bikes ... 101374.htm ,
this one https://www.premierbikes.com/used-bikes ... /96281.htm
and maybe this one https://www.premierbikes.com/used-bikes ... 101172.htm too whilst you're at it

- if nothing else, would make an interesting little comparison read up :)

On a slightly off topic note, I think I've got a bit of a crush on that CBThou I linked to earlier.

Don't buy it. Cos I might.
