Re: Interceptor Project
Mines the last of the Bricks and it handles fine, in fact surprisingly well for a 280kg+ bike, but I am a riding god.

Re: Interceptor Project
Think that’s down to the rubber bushes around the bolts in the bar clamps on the LT anyway, first time I did a u turn it flopped over, there’s masses of movement in the bars before anything happens, eliminate that play with solid bushes or washers compressing the rubber in the clamp housing and it now handles sweetly at low speed.

Re: Interceptor Project
Depends which model - IIRC the early ones had regular forks, (under-damped and soft - BMW's standard settings), some of the very late ones had Telelever.Mr Moofo wrote: ↑Tue Apr 13, 2021 2:00 pmflying brick - I believe. Re: Interceptor Project
Anyone else seen The Missenden Flier's latest creation?
Have to say, I'm not a fan of his stuff at all, he comes across as very born-again-y and very very wet to me and his "hope you're well" syrupy style is just too soppy and cringe for me , but someone pointed me to this and I've just watched it
Simply beggar's belief for me- he's turned what wasn't a bad looking bike as it was into the saddest looking heap of hipster dogshit I've seen for a while, and the almost completely unbelievable aspect to me is that he actually paid someone £8k to do it
Yes- Eight fucking K on top of the bike price to chop off the back end and put a brown seat , wanky tyres and £5 hinghong-yingyong lights and pipes on it......

Re: Interceptor Project
I'm not particularly keen on the Missenden Flyer either if only for the rather pompous name he's chosen for himself. But the bloke I reserve my real venom for is Lamb Chop. His whole mission in life seems to revolve around blagging bits for his latest project while taking all the credit himself. There's also a word to describe the way he comes across, but I can't quite think of it now. Put it this way, if I had a teenage daughter I'd be making damn sure he never met her...
There is no cloud, just somebody else's computer.

Is it some perverted form of masochism, buying an Enfield and then watching shit videos of people modifying them?

I;ve watched some of his reviews & also find him very born again. He doesn't seem to have any reference points to the bikes of my youth & knows F all about 70's & 80's two strokes, motorcycle racing or much else really. He seems to have a lot of followers though so he's doing something right
I thought it was honest of him to upload the hipsterceptor video, what a fiasco For me though, irrespective of cost or time span, the bike looked better as standard. The fact that he spent over 8k to get the result is staggering.

Re: Interceptor Project
The 650 isn't for me.
I'm looking forward to the 350 Classic which uses the 350 meteor engine, but looks like the Bullet. Should hit the UK sometime in March.
I have high hopes it will be as good as my 2014 500, just a teeny bit more refined.

I can take him or leave him - I was surprised he took delivery the first time when they hadn’t done what he had asked.Bustaspoke wrote: ↑Fri Jan 28, 2022 9:28 pmI'm suscribed to his channel,I like his monthly motorbike news round up.Tricky wrote: ↑Fri Jan 28, 2022 8:10 pm Anyone else seen The Missenden Flier's latest creation?

Re: Interceptor Project
Yeah I watched the MF video the other day. He must be a reasonably clever chap to have the money he does (then again maybe its not from his work) but flabbergasted he gave them another 4k after agreeing a 4k total price. Bell end.
I don't think he is a born again. Fairly certain in some vid he said he first learned to ride in his 50s so hence having no reference points for earlier bikes.
He's nice enough and I watch the odd review but 44 teeth is more my style.
