I'll be in a silver Vauxhall Mokka (hateful thing) looking quite glaikit and lost.
Depending how my day tomorrow shapes up, I might make a trip to Cwmcarn in the afternoon.

Glaikit - stupid, foolish or thoughtless.weeksy wrote: ↑Thu Jul 30, 2020 12:35 pmThat's not even a real word!Beancounter wrote: ↑Thu Jul 30, 2020 11:32 am I'll be in a silver Vauxhall Mokka (hateful thing) looking quite glaikit and lost.

So what's the plan for lunch mate ?
Any pubs with gardens we can cruise down to ?
Or are we heading back to car and keeping in a cold-box ?
Or bring everything out as we're not going back to car until the end ?

Re: Sat 1st Aug, FoD, bring the fun
Just finished at Cwmcarn, got a split in my rear tyre and Sealant oozing out a quite a rate. I need to find a new 27.5 x 2.80 (or another tyre that would fit) tomorrow morning.
First puncture in 5 years. 5 fecking years. Was enjoying myself way too much.

Taff, that would be ace mate and greatly appreciated. Obviously I'm happy to buy them from you so let me know how much. Thanks again.Taff wrote: ↑Fri Jul 31, 2020 8:11 pmI've got a part worn 2.8 Nobby Nic here if you want to chuck that on, I can bring a tube and pump as well to save feckin about with sealantBeancounter wrote: ↑Fri Jul 31, 2020 7:11 pm Just finished at Cwmcarn, got a split in my rear tyre and Sealant oozing out a quite a rate. Re: Sat 1st Aug, FoD, bring the fun
Awesome, awesome, awesome day's riding.
I think I counted 14 riders??
The numbers from Aly's strava say 14 miles, 2350ft of climbing and 10 descents, but the highlights for me are the way that everyone's bubbling and grinning like loons at the end of every trail, and the kids. damn they make me laugh
I'm sure that everyone pushed themselves out of their personal comfort zone and did stuff that they may not have normally done which is great to watch.
no mechanical problems, almost no crashes, Mini Weeks nearly lasted the whole day without crashing but had to oblige us with a comedy excursion into a ditch.
We should have taken a group photo earlier in the day rather than leaving it to the last run when we had lost 3 (or was it 4) riders including my lad.

this photo was taken a couple of weeks ago, but the end effect was the same today

I’d echo what Weeksy said, one of the best cycling days I’ve been on. The selection of trails was spot on and brilliant fun to ride. Thanks Taff, can’t wait for the next one!
