Re: My next bike
Before you buy a BMW, ask yourself one question, "Do I want to smell of wee?"
And that Ducati is very ugly, Lings in Ipswich had one, it's horrible in first person.

Like this, although not sure I want matt paint as on my mate's Mrs 07 it was a bit of a pig to clean without using special stuff. But it's got a top box and screen

Cheapest new shape I've seen, guessing possibly a demo bike?

Re: My next bike
Talk about pot calling kettle black. Those monsters really ain't pretty. Like someone put a magnet on the engine and pushed it into a parts factory. Bits all over the shop. It ain't much differently fuggly to the Jap bikes but no one pretends they are good looking but like MVs Ducati don't really make good looking bikes anymore.
Plus I ride a 690 so looks aren't too high up the list. Fun is much higher.

Re: My next bike
You have to own a Ducati at some point.
Do you even ride if you've not had a Ducati?
I'm going to buy a Porsche at some point, just so I'll have owned a Porsche before I die. Same thing.

Since then I think I've owned another 5-6 Ducati and despite them getting expensive, I don't regret a single one. The SC1000 was just incredible and it still baffles me why I ever sold it.

Re: My next bike
I could own a Ducati, I spent yesterday perusing 950 Multis but it's a myth they are great looking, lovely finish, but not pretty. A handful maybe but lots aren't. They made the Paso FFS! And my fav at the moment is the Desert Sled and that's a blatant XT copy.
Probably the 848/1098 was the last bike of theirs I'd get a trouser tent for

The Desert Sled is a great looking bike.
If you could get over the looks of a Multi, they're the ultimate do everything bike. Win Europe Tours, Win Inters, Win Pikes Peak, Win Traffic light GP.

Re: My next bike
Me too, rode a 1000ss and was expecting something to stir in my soul like everyone says.
But I thought it rode like a pig and I owned a Z750 at the time. I actually tried to hand it back earlier than I did but my mate was happy on mine.

Re: My next bike
A 1994 900SS in 2000, in was low mileage and in tip top condition, it was horrible to ride, slow and agricultural.
But modern ones have got to be better than that, it would be an achievement to be worse.
