Woo hoo 1,000th reply
Anyway, sat here with the portable gas fire on. First time since last February.
Having a freak cold day, but will be back to normal in a day or 2

It’s like summer here, 5 degrees and chilly. Makes no odds to me, can’t go out until at least Thursday if I get a negative test result tomorrow! Bloody Rona!

Dunno what's wrong with yous lot, keep falling down with the 'Rona. I've been working up in the Smoke, going to concerts and theatre, bars and restaurants, with a relaxed attitude to the whole thing. By rights I should be rife with the dirty virus, but every test I have comes up negative.
I reckon it's me Sahf Luhnden genes. All the pollution and rat shit has given me immunity over the decades.

I managed to avoid it for nearly 2 years, got all my jabs when the President and his drinking pals told me to, avoided busy shops, pubs etc, lived the life of a hermit. Then went to work on the day that one of the other Team managers kids were rife with it and the bugger didn’t tell me!! Possibly forgot to clean the keyboard in our shared office so my fault really.

Should be reported.636mick wrote: ↑Tue Jan 18, 2022 2:36 pm I managed to avoid it for nearly 2 years, got all my jabs when the President and his drinking pals told me to, avoided busy shops, pubs etc, lived the life of a hermit. Me too, just getting on with life, broke lockdown and curfews, travelled to UK, had Christmas and New Year in a Fethiye hotel - packed on two nights and nothing, no sickness, no symptoms, all tests negative (well OK, I've only had 3 but . . .), nothing. I was in town today, it's supposed to be rife, a proper hot area but I've been in town loads recently - to the fecking hospital, the hottest spot around and nothing.gremlin wrote: ↑Tue Jan 18, 2022 1:52 pm Dunno what's wrong with yous lot, keep falling down with the 'Rona. Either covid is scared of me or I have similar genes (I'm from Dover so hardly Sahf Luhnden). I'm still to be convinced the 'rona is actually a thing. I've never had flu either but now and again some twat gives me a cold so I'm no superman but 'rona? More like mass hysteria I think.

Re: A right now thread
We are currently a covid positive household for first time as well which is more a surprise rather than anything given the wife deals with germ breeders all day long. She’s positive and has flu-like symptoms, just like when she had her booster.
I’m fine so far but daily testing, cancelled face to face client meetings and masking up every time I need to go anywhere.
I suspect I’ll get a positive result in the near future…
In other news, garage roof and rendering now complete, we are just awaiting the ground workers to finish off concrete etc and the spark to connect garage to house.

Feeling very sorry for myself. Cannot get motivated for work since starting back after Christmas. I did manage a Zwift last night and hoping to get out for a run this lunch time. Spring can't come soon enough.

Yeah the winteryness at the moment is a bit of a drag, it's not getting remotely dry on the roads or the trails and it's fairly chilly most of the time.... not exactly what i'd call nice.
Just remember... it's not for long, each day is 1 step closer to niceness.

They just numbed my arm and did the deed. 3 hours later I can sort of lift it but no control. A dead weight .
Keeping me in overnight to monitor the pain.
And bloody hungry but can't eat until they say so.

Re: A right now thread
Lying in bed and having a messenger chat with a friend in Ukraine. I suggested the current situation must be a bit worrying but he said "It's been much the same (tense) for the last 6 or 7 years.
He was more concerned that his bandsaw blade wanders and asked me how he should fix it.

No pain, but the whole finger has gone stiff. No movement. Need lots of physio and wiggling.
Doc says 2 months no riding.
Yeah, right
