Don't rule out the The Umbrella thread.

Not only has it the powerful hook of the was or wasn't The Umbrella an urban myth but there's more. Study the direction, the themes, the very timbre of the thread.

It has the powerful and oft debated 'value of science' very heavily embedded. And from the first post there was the conflict between those who value higher education and those who do not.

I think it will continue to get interest and then when it peaks, white hot, on Christmas Day, I will use it to call Iccy a 'toolygoon' in front of everyone. And knowing this to be true he will write a lengthy retort but it will be hollow and ineffective and all shall see that. Thus admonished he will slink from the alehouse and my good health will be drunk by all.
