Re: A right now thread
Sat at work drinking tea and eating yesterday’s leftovers. Also looking at my new sports watch which is telling me I’m fat and unfit.
Also feeling a little sad as Mrs M has just rung me to say she found one of the ferrets expired this morning.

Re: A right now thread
Right now feeling a bit peeved. Loads of people up here have been testing positive. Partly the nature of the job (tourism) but also most frequent bars in the smaller village down from me.
I've been quite picky in general - only been to a couple of places that are indoors in the last few weeks and only then when it's not busy!!
Christmas night I went for dinner with a mate. He'd been doing regular LF tests because he has been out with some of the people that have tested positive. But, I thought, Christmas was the second day with a negative test for him, so was happy to go for dinner (had been planned for a long time cos we are the only two of our friends not working in chalets or restaurants!)
This afternoon he tells me he feels rough and has tested positive (extra weird cos he's had 4 vaccines - a double set in France then again in the UK as the system wouldn't accept his French ones )
So, I've had to tell work that I'm doing a test. And why. TBF, it's not like we were in touching distance, but he did give me a lift home, so . . .
And, he went out Christmas Eve to the bar where it is likely everyone got it in the first place
Sooooo - sitting here waiting for a result. Couldn't do the job that was a possibility tomorrow as he took 2 days to feel rough - ok, on that basis I should feel bad today but don't. But work and I have agreed that I need to test tomorrow if today is negative and then we'll decide
FFS!!
And, I only had it back in bloody November - sodding well hoping it's not gonna show positive now cos I really don't need to not be working again!!!!
EDIT - well, test is negative right now. Best steer clear of the world for another day or so anyway. Another test tomorrow Gaaahhhhh

Re: A right now thread
Just been told that I have received a free pair of Helibars from the very nice Mr @Skub . He sent them to Pen's mum in the UK
He wouldn't take any payment, just a donation to charity.
A very nice late Xmas prezzy from a top geezer

I'm glad they got there. I hope they fit without too much hassle.

Re: A right now thread
Ya big gurls blouse!!!! I broke my little finger in three places (about four bits of bone broken off!!) and didn't even get a plaster!! I didn't even 'trip over' that time (just threw myself and the 10r down the track at Portimao!!) - and to be fair, I didn't tell the hospital it was 'bruised', so they didn't look and I only missed one day on track (first day after I couldn't get my glove on!! LOL)
Hope it heals fast, but damn - you are seriously playing on the man-break-need-big-bandage-to-show-how-bad-it-is!! Along the lines of manflu when it's just a sniffle
Hope you heal fast and there aren't lasting issues xx

It's bust at the knuckle, where finger joins hand, not where it looks wierd in photo . Doc says it's a serious jobby and will be hard to fix 100%Noggin wrote: ↑Wed Dec 29, 2021 8:52 pmYa big gurls blouse!!!! Re: A right now thread
I was pillion and we crashed at The Bay Of Biscay. Hand was crushed. Big operation, but I was still concussed from the crash. Still got 2" scar where they opened it up.
I started racing the next year but could only afford a tired RD400. In the May of that year I got a compo cheque for about 2 grand. Mega bucks in 82. Bought me a mega LC350 and plenty in the bank. If we hadn't crashed, I'd never have been able to race properly.
