Maybe one for the morning, but maybe some get them in early.

What do you love? Hate? Or want to swap!

So far;
A cheese hamper, most of which will sit around for at least a year, although the pork scratchings were nice
A box of assorted beers from https://www.hobsons-brewery.co.uk/, which'll mostly be used for cooking / BBQing purposes

Why can't folk get it through their heads that when I say I want or need nothing I really do mean it

So far, I have been gifted the joy of a lie in where I slept solidly for the full hour.

No having to take the dog for a shite in the blasting cold wind for me, Christmas dinner may be slightly delayed due to the beef going in slightly later than planned.

20 mins per 450g plus 20 mins. 7 kilo rib of beef takes 5.5 hours plus resting time. The joint was ordered when there was supposed to be at least 8 possibly 10 around the table.

Covid jail and a bereavement in the family (daughter’s partner’s gran) has wiped 4 off the list so we are down to 6 of us including a vegetarian.

Best present is a dinky little screwdriver. It’s got a spare cartridge so I’ll fill that with torx bits so I’m not always hunting round for them.

I got a morning of love from the wife, but my teenage children started moving about in the house and ruined the moment

Heated gloves on charge 👍 Assorted bottled ales 👍 Cash 👍 Shower stuff 👎

I'll swap the shower stuff for a pack of frozen sprouts. 🙂

We planned to do parkrun this morning, but for the first time in forever* baby D slept in. Didn't wake up until 0830, frankly I'd rather have the lie in :lol:

Good job I checked Mrs M’s Turkey cooking calculations as otherwise Santa Salmonella could have been paying a visit

Bought myself Escape From Colditz board game, just had a quick trial game so I can explain how to play to my family, the rules are not particularly complicated, but what an incredibly tactical game, if you're playing as an escape officer you really need to have a plan of what you're going to do.

We both bought each other a hot stone raclette thingy. I bought the best one so the other is going back.

She's right chuffed as it's the same one we had in the uk

Got new gloves but will still send the Dainese ones away to be repaired, which I’m sure they can be. Few other bits and bobs.

Mrs D got me Michel Roux Jr's La Gavroche Cookbook. She asked them if they could get Michel to sign it with a little dedication for me. To her surprise, he did!

It'll keep me out of the way for the weekend;

Although it's cost me a few quid as I've just ordered the lighting kit for it
