EBay : Bike from year of your birth
Bit of light hearted fun for today...
Ebay search for your year of birth and pick which bike Santa is putting in the stocking for you.

Re: EBay : Bike from year of your birth
Slim pickings from the year of my birth and none of then rock my boat.
So I’m going with the most expensive one.

Quote fitting as I think that was the first bike I ever rode. I'd have been about 6 or 7 and there was bloke had set up a little track outside the local baths and had 4 or 5 of them and was charging for a go on them. My dad let me have a go and one twist of the throttle and I was hooked.

According to the episode of American Pickers I watched earlier in the week, the Trike flathead motor is 'detuned' compared to the standard flathead and nobody wants them.

Re: EBay : Bike from year of your birth
I had a 125 very similar to that, it was a good little trail bike, definitely a bike I wish I'd never sold.KungFooBob wrote: ↑Thu Dec 23, 2021 9:06 am I look on t'bay for 1978 bikes all the time.

Seems my options are 350 triumphs, 650 BSAs, a couple of Italian 'beauties' or .......

I didn't even know there was a CX500 Turbo. In fact I don't even know if the CX500 Turbo is an official model. But come on, it's from the 80s and it hads "Turbo" in the name with matching graphics proudly proclaiming that fact.
