Park it, fix it when warmer. No loss, then it is sorted and you can enjoy riding it again. Too cold to be working on bikes outside, garage is only better because you are not wet/windy.
Proverbs 17:9
One who forgives an affront fosters friendship, but one who dwells on disputes will alienate a friend.

Re: NBT: New scoot thread!
Yes, blew out the low ball offer. Will clean it and put it under a cover for now. If I get a good offer in the mean time it can go if not I'll wait until its warmer.
The trouble is, I don't know what it needs until it's stripped down and I don't want to leave it with an engine cover off for a week or more. Also laying out the clutch components, assuming I need to, will need bench space and again I don't have that. My Father-in-law has a big double garage and I could probably get it in there to do the whole job, but I like working at home where I can make my own mess, stop for teas etc.

Sounds like you made the decision, then completely regret it tooTaipan wrote: ↑Sat Dec 18, 2021 1:50 pm Yes, blew out the low ball offer. Will clean it and put it under a cover for now. If I get a good offer in the mean time it can go if not I'll wait until its warmer.

Not sure I follow, but I'll clarify. I don't want to work on it, but I will. I don't have anywhere to work on it, but I do. I don't want to sell it cheaply, but I will.weeksy wrote: ↑Sat Dec 18, 2021 2:39 pmSounds like you made the decision, then completely regret it tooTaipan wrote: ↑Sat Dec 18, 2021 1:50 pm Yes, blew out the low ball offer. Just get a garage built / have a shipping container dropped off / knock up a shed already.

Re: NBT: New scoot thread!
I did want/intend to build a wooden garage/shed/man cave/covered seating area across the bottom of the garden, but never got round to it. TBH I just don't get much time for such things these days.MrLongbeard wrote: ↑Sat Dec 18, 2021 3:06 pm Just get a garage built / have a shipping container dropped off / knock up a shed already.

I just had a radical thought, I could book it in somewhere...

That's a bit extreme, is it not?
Blundering about trying not to make too much of a hash of things.
