It's probably got Amal slide carbs (I can't see the picture on my work PC), in which case it will be a case of finding the right jets, you probably need a smaller air jet, there must be a Triumph specialist who can tell you, bikes usually cough and splutter at medium rpm but rev fine if you get past the coughing when they need a smaller air jet.

But the heated grips play a factor as does the current weather which is remarkably mild. Yesterday was almost dry, today was basically dry so thought i'd play on the MT-07. Partly to see if i'd lost my mind yesterday riding the BMW thing and whether i could still ride a bike. Partly just because, well, why not.

was only 30-35 miles or so but the roads were better than i thought and with some planning it wasn't an issue in the slightest. Couple of sections where you had to avoid the muddy line down the middle of a lane, but nothing impossible.
Bike was great, had lots of fun... bit cold now... but happy.

Filled it up with Esso finest and it can sit there now till... well, whenever really.

If that's where I think it is it's just around the corner from one of our sites. I was there on Wednesday and my route away from it took me through Weeksyville. That hill out to the East of your village is an interesting one isn't it!! I may bring my road bike up one day and do that as part of a route.

Depends which hill... if you mean the one leaving our village, that's fairly simple. But if you went left you then went to Streatley Hill. Which is very well know in hill world. I've ridden it 3-4 times... i can't say i greatly enjoyed any of them

Yeah Fox is still there, i go through Hermitage quite often. My lad cycles in the woods just behind it regularly. If i'm out on the motorbike the roads there head out to the other play roads too.

I doubt she's still there but i can go in and ask if it helps

Yup, still there and still active. Although i don't know if it's REs, it's just a random building i sometimes go past.... but there's certainly people there and big fences.

In 1985 it was where they made maps for the military, I had 3 days there to see if I wanted to join as either a surveyor, cartographer or photo analyst, I failed the photo analyst because I see 3D photos round the wrong way, failed cartographer because I couldn't stay inside the lines and failed surveyor because I didn't like heights.

Shame as on paper it does seem like an ideal bike for me, but I don't think my knee would take that riding position? I'll maybe get a sit on one at some point.

Did you have to mention the 690! I swore no more KTMs, but it does have a good riding position and is lighter than my NCX and, no, no. Stop it!
