Have you ridden it on an MX track, you'd have to be quick to get it flat out in the confines of most MX tracks, Enduro and Trail riding usually has much longer straight bits.

I think an electric trail bike would be superb in the UK, reasonably quiet so you don't annoy anyone, and in theory, the throttle response and low down torque should make a really good trail bike.

Exactly- as he explains in the vid, and one of the really cool things about it is the " tunability" of it from a phone app- you pick the power curve, thrttle response engine braking etc etc etc-
Shame the range isn't really there yet to make these that practical as a green-laner, but as soon as it is, I'll have one

I preferred my YZ125 to my KTM250, it was much easier to ride, I found the IT/PE/KDX 175/200s to be ideal, they were the same chassis as 125s with more mid range

Big power and torque can be a nightmare in mud, as soon as you touch the throttle the bike goes sideways, my 450 was harder to ride in mud than the 125.

I guess you're talking when racing as you always want to be hard on the throttle and I understand that but If we're talking 4 stroke road legal off-roaders I don't think it's an issue - over the years I've ridden a fair number of 350/400/450 /500s (numerous KTMs, Yam WR & Bergs) off-road and done 1000s of miles on my trusty old 525 on all sorts of terrain , and one of the KTMs aside which had a silly-loud exhaust and particularly abrupt and unpleasant throttle, I've thought them as easy to ride as the sodt-power 125/200/230/250 trail bikes and generally speaking much preferable for me than the trail bikes whatever the surface and grip because of lower weight , and options that more power give you.
Admittedly a good portion of the ones in my experience have had a carb rather than FI, maybe that was it, dunno, but none of the bigger ones have seemed too much as it were.
Some of the smokers, however, now that is a different story completely- even 125s

But all that aside, I just love the concept of how easily tunable the power delivery characteristics of these electric bikes can be, and the relative lack of noise from them is a good thing off-road too IMO
