Off to Edinburgh for a few days, but LNER aren’t running services south of Newcastle until Tuesday. Sorted out some parking and getting ready to drive up.

Currently, not heading to the Nightingale centre for my booster or the supermarket to pick up the click and collect as the car is stuck in the garage as the brand new roller shutter has managed to jump the runners due to Friday’s storm.
The man is on his way, no doubt, to hit it with a big hammer.

Car, in the garage? That's a pretty radical idea!Silly Car wrote: Sun Nov 28, 2021 9:42 am Currently, not heading to the Nightingale centre for my booster or the supermarket to pick up the click and collect as the car is stuck in the garage as the brand new roller shutter has managed to jump the runners due to Friday’s storm.

Re: A right now thread
I've just finished painting the kitchen ceiling ahead of that lot being installed. I decorate the kitchen in July this year when we had a new boiler fitted, but apparently, that doesn't count and it needs redoing for the new kitchen. I can't even see where I have or haven't painted!

It’d be even more radical if the garage build was complete… 10 weeks and we still don’t have a roof on it!Count Steer wrote: Sun Nov 28, 2021 9:44 amCar, in the garage? Doing my lateral flow test, have to go and give Last Rites to someone today if I can get into the care home this afternoon. I have School Nativity and other meetings this morning.

Eating breakfast in a Bristol hotel. Just read on the news the M4 is shut after a lorry crash so I'm going to talk a walk and try and get a decent view of Clifton Bridge before I head home.

Re: A right now thread
I've taken a couple of days holiday and set myself the task of changing one of the kitchen worktops. I have everything I need apart from the mitre glue I forgot so all ready to get started.
The kids have gone to school and there's nothing stopping me doing it except that I'm still in bed watching TV, I wonder how far I will get.
