Pedals are a disposable item as far as I'm concerned, no point spending loads of moolah on them to have them clanging off rocks and ruts etc. To that end I used Shimano DX's...
Cheap, reliable, plenty of float, enough surface area that if you can't clip in (or pop pot) you can still ride them as platforms and the plastic cage offers a degree of protection for the mechanism...

After yesterday , being tortured up hill by the E Bike Twins, today I am looking at e-bikes …
Hahahahaha. They've got their uses as you've found. I think it comes down to what you want from MTBing and riding. But riding with Couchie at 417 Flyup for example showed me how good they are if you want up/down as quickly as possible. He was getting 2-3 runs in per 1 uplift there. Which is crazy impressive.
I bought one of these a couple of years ago and they are a great but of kit. I use it to clean the dogs more than cleaning the bikes though.
2 things I've found in use, the air vent in the lid doesn't work so I need to leave the lid off so that it doesn't air lock. And always empty the water out of the spray gun in winter, if you leave it full of water and it freezes it will crack the gun.

Ohh speedy ! Not sure about the grip

When it dries out. It’s going on the rear as the Honey Badger I usually run has gone out of round and it’s next to impossible to get a replacement. This looks ideal Sarf Dahns summer rear tyre as it’s got the grid side wall for hopefully flint resistance and hopefully enough tread to give adequate edge grip (unlike the XC version of the HB that tried killing me a few times before the more edge treaded version got fitted).

Bought some longer cranks for my gravel bike yesterday. For the first time ever, I really notice the difference switching between my Zwifting Triban and race bike (both with 175mm) and the gravel bike with 170’s.
It’s odd but it feels like there’s no leverage or torque.
Anyway, it means I can sell my 105 4iiii power meter and the 170 GRX crankset so I should come out of it up a little
Now I've got the race-day toolbox sorted, half my bicycle tools are in it, so I've got to open, find, put back each and every time. Far easier to just get another of each of the important ones and I can put them back in the pegboard
Hope headset going into the Bfe in a minute. As will be a Shimano bottom bracket - so should be built up in the next day or so.
The FlareMax is now complete again with the rebuilt rear shock - shame I didn't have it yesterday. @weeksy I have a two hour recording of my squeaking press fit BB from yesterday - I will send it through to you on an email!
