Been out for an hours ride at lunch time, it was cold.
I'd taken some preload out of the front forks and it feels better, it also feels a bit like a supermoto, but with 4 cylinders, a lot of weight and a very smooth engine, then you look down and the world's widest fuel tank is beneath you.

I've done a bit over 250 miles on it now, I'm tempted to reduce the tyre pressures for winter to give it a bit more grip.

I should get out on it tomorrow and Sunday as the weather here is supposed to be dry.

I stopped for some chips half way round, so I didn't get that cold as I've a nice layer of fat to keep me warm

You need to change the front brake MC to one that has an external res, then you could fit on of these...

Cheesy must have a paddock jacket or three lurking in his wardrobe too.

I've now done nearly 300 miles on it, the more I ride it the more I like it, headed down to Shotley, then to Orwell Motorcycles, they've got the new Z650RS in stock in green, and the 2022 Z900RS, which looks nice but I don't think it's worth over £10K. Then round to Stowmarket, where I joined the A1120 to Yoxford, some of the sharp S bends were quite slippery, and it felt like the front end was sliding a little, a grippier front tyre would fix this. Then onto Sizewell for a cup of tea, then rode home via RAF Bentwaters.

The GSX-S is growing on me. I think I didn't like it initially because my next-door neighbour had a GSR750 which always looked a bit 'budget'. The GSX-S looks a bit more premium with it's radial brakes and GP paint scheme.

It is a bit budget, the rear shock especially so, I also don't like any of the other paint schemes it comes in, they look a bit cheap.

But it's similar spec to the Z900 and costs 2 grand less.

It's a lovely bike to ride, I'm going along roads about 20mph faster than I was on my FZ.
