New bike day 2018 Yamaha MT-07
Today I collected my new bike, its a 2018 MT-07.

I was going to commute to work on the Honda Grom (130miles for £6.80 petrol) but after the first day I decided it need to go, its a 16 miles commute and sat on the A3 on that was no fun at all, in town it was ok, very cheap all round but other than that its a no.
I had been searching for an 07 for a while, I missed a few good ones, my ideal bike was 2018 or later, black, tail tidy and an Arkapovic, I wanted them all ready fitted as if not they would just end up costing me more to add and also I have very limited free time at the moment to fit them.
Mine is 2018 5500 miles Full dealership history, has 2/3 light marks (not overly fussed as its a daily commuter now) but everything else is sweet, R&G tail tidy and crash bungs. Its got some horrible cheap Chinese levers on, so i've ordered some ASV ones to replace them. I got them to fit a set of the Yamaha heated grips and they fitted them for free, so happy with that, just need to order some paddock stand bobbins and a rear fender extender. Also waiting for the shop to receive the baffle for the Akrapovic as its bloody loud, I never thought my bikes loud until today, maybe its because I am getting old.
only did 10 miles on it today, looking forward to getting out on it more.

Looking good man. Nicely understated in black.
It'll be a bugger to keep clean in the Winter!
ASV levers are a lovely thing, you can have the finest of adjustments to get them just the way you need.
Your good health to enjoy.

I was looking at some Rizoma levers for they are another £40 each, plus i have had a few sets of the ASV's and really liked them.
front axel sliders and paddock stand bobbins are coming as well.
need to stop now.

Hmmm not tried yet. Might do soon.
Only commuted so far on it, loads of fun though, the baffle has made a hell of a difference, I mean before it was evil, now it’s almost silent
R&G rear bobbins and front fork protectors are fitted, levers so go on soon,
Sold the Grom today.
Not much else really.

Re: New bike day 2018 Yamaha MT-07
So nearly had the MT for 3 weeks odd, really liking it, seems to fit me really well, baffle has really sorted the horrible noise out.
only commuted on it so far, itching to get out and ride for fun asap.
I can feel the lack of power compared to the Street triple R but its more than Ill ever be able to dominate, but its fun to ride, thinking about maybe loosing a tooth or 2 for acceleration at some point, missing the quick shifter so might look into one of them, heal tech seems to be the one, or is it???
other than that loving it.
