INCOMING, Happy 50th to me.... Yeah, it's a Yamaha... it's the easy option.
After the debacle of the 690, as you've seen there was likely to be an incoming thread.
I spent a while playing a few dealers off against eachother but Wigan Yamaha came in the eventual winners with both the lowest price and free delivery, they started off wanting £250 which would have meant i'd have gone somewhere else.
In the end though they've removed that and done a cracking price.
Regarding condition, it will be 100% because, well, it's brand new..
The colour scheme isn't classic Yamaha but i wasn't sold on the blue.... and the black paint looks a bit satin/matt which can be harder to clean as you end up polishing off the finish.

Interesting times... tho' I'd have thought you would have just waited for Couchy to get bored of his and offer him peanuts for it.

It was an option, but i fancied the warranty, the newness, little things like that really.KungFooBob wrote: ↑Wed Oct 13, 2021 9:43 am Interesting times... tho' I'd have thought you would have just waited for Couchy to get bored of his and offer him peanuts for it.

Weeksy,
Genuine question - what is the reasoning for that as a choice ?

A blokes muscle mass peaks at 45,so you are 5 years down the far side. It makes sense to get a light bike. Happy birthday man.
I like that colour, understated and classy. Health to wear.

In terms of bike choice ?
Small, light (ish), right power for B road blasts, right bike for fun, easy to throw around, really easy to enjoy. It was a really enjoyable thing on the test ride. It's obviously got Japanese reliability in there as well along with 2 year warranty.
After sitting weighing up all the choices and options, if someone Japanese made a 690 then that'd win... but they don't so i can't. So taking everything else into account, the MT07 makes the most sense.
With next year plans being that i'm unlikely to see a trackday apart from the forum extravaganza, i don't need a super fast bike.. Although if i do, the MT07 will do a fine job i think. So it's just local rides, bimbles and trips to cafes/shops etc... it's a win win.

Well played, look tidy enough aside from the paint, I can't stand grey on vehicles that aren't part of her maj's navy.
