I've given it to the Wife as she was due an upgrade anyway as she has had her current Cooper for about 6 or 7 years now. One of these was on the radar, hence my buying the tickets for it. It's all worked out rather swimmingly really!636mick wrote: Thu Oct 07, 2021 12:17 pmYep, took about the same to pay mine in, you should get the motor early next week. You planning to keep the car, give it to the wife as you said last night or sell it on? Or not decided yet?
Can I claim the cost of my ticket back from you??

Nice one, i've missed a few weeks of gambling but that's a great car. I did look at it for the wife as well, but i'm a fussy bastard and didn't buy any tickets as it's a diesel
Really well done

Ah, I took his post as a hopeful 'I've bought a ticket therefore I've won this.'

How about this one!Taipan wrote: Wed Oct 06, 2021 5:01 amThere are Irish comp sites that do these sort of prizes, ride on lawn mowers, diggers, even class 1 HGV units and they are good sellers, so maybe they thought they dip their toes into the waters of plant and HGVs as well?Mr. Dazzle wrote: Tue Oct 05, 2021 9:12 pm I'd genuinely be interested to know the back story there. How did they ever come to think to make that a prize?
Repossessions auction?
Fencing?
Bored night on ebay?

Looks good mate, if the wife hasn’t seen it yet you could always Chuck it on gumtree before she gets home!
Nice win, and they got it to you pretty quick.
Enjoy.

Re: Online competitions for cars, bikes and tech goodies.
My daughters friend works in a dealers and she said they'd be very interested in buying it, as apparently the Cooper S 2.0 diesel auto with the all-important JCW pack is very desirable? I must have gone soft in my old age as I couldn't do it to the wife. She is just too excited about getting this thing. Waiting for it to be delivered she has been like a kid counting down the sleeps until Xmas !636mick wrote: Wed Oct 13, 2021 2:44 pm Looks good mate, if the wife hasn’t seen it yet you could always Chuck it on gumtree before she gets home!

I know how she feels mate, I was the same with the camper. Always nice to get a new car, especially when it’s cost you nothing, pretty much. Is the Beemer going for sale now? You’ve had it a while.
Enjoy the win, all the best.

Re: Online competitions for cars, bikes and tech goodies.
My CLK was a rag top and used to get algae on it as my driveway doesn't get much sunshine, so I am a bit reluctant, but they are a lot more reliable than a tin top. I think i'll stick the bimmer up for sale and see if and what it sells for and take it from there?
