But don't fear.... once the 'bits' that were on the XSR are sold, there'll be incoming entertainment for the 690

Not yet, after all the paperwork went back and forth the last one was signed off at 5:15.
So he then sent the info to a company called quickbikes who will now deliver.

You've not seen it in the flesh yet have you? Do you get to check it over first and accept/reject it when it arrives?weeksy wrote: Tue Oct 05, 2021 8:34 pmNot yet, after all the paperwork went back and forth the last one was signed off at 5:15.

Re: Incominnnnnnnng. Sometimes you have to go with your heart... not your head.
All of my bikes prior to the MT09 have been sub 80bhp so jumping on the MT09 feels like a massive step up. I certainly don't have as much fun on the road on the MT09 as I do on the GS, the RT or even the girlfriend's 125.weeksy wrote: Mon Oct 04, 2021 5:53 pm I know in many minds that and XSR isn't a beast but IMO for roads round here it's excessive. I don't expect many to agree, but they're not me.
Last week at Brands the MT09 felt brilliant, but not so much on the roads to and from.

That's a good question and one i don't have the answer to currentlyTaipan wrote: Wed Oct 06, 2021 12:21 pmYou've not seen it in the flesh yet have you? Bike is due here on Friday.
This particular one is keenly priced and the trade in was good. The closest i'm seeing to it in terms of miles and year is at £5700 (this was £4990) so i'm thinking i've got some leeway in my mind.
Looking at the pictures, the rear sprocket is showing corrosion as are a few of the sprocket bolts... that's not completley uncommon on 690s and comes in at £60 for all the bolts and the sprocket. The brake line ends are showing a bit of wear and tear, but as we all know, that's common on bikes anyway and a braided line or two won't break the bank. Which reallly only leaves "anything massive that's an issue", which i'm hopefully not seeing on Friday..
Hopefully
If you look at this one, which is a very similar example but with more miles...

You'll see things like the above i mentioned... Just little things that many/most wouldn't even pick up on, but are quite apparent to me. However, they're also things that can be easily sorted.

the XSR was a 2019 and the PX value was £6500 with free delivery and collection too. Some dealers were closer to £6000, these were joint highest in 6 discussions.Dodgy knees wrote: Wed Oct 06, 2021 3:28 pm Does the px price cover bike purchase. What year was xsr. ?
